[Machine] "Whoever separates themselves from them and follows this man, I will consider him one of those who have separated themselves. He said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Whoever forsakes the community and seeks to establish his own authority, he will meet Allah and there will be no excuse for him.'" This statement was omitted by Al-Dhahabi in his summary."  

الحاكم:٤٥٦١ – الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا حَامِدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَامِدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّازِيُّ سَمِعْتُ كَثِيرًا أَبَا النَّضْرٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رِبْعِيَّ بْنَ حِرَاشٍ يَقُولُ انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى حُذَيْفَةَ بِالْمَدَائِنِ لَيَالِيَ سَارَ النَّاسُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ مَا فَعَلَ قَوْمُكَ؟ قَالَ عَنْ أَيِّ حَالِهِمْ تَسْأَلُ؟ قَالَ

مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ إِلَى هَذَا الرَّجُلِ فَسَمَّيْتُ لَهُ رَجُلًا مِمَّنْ خَرَجَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَاسْتَبْدَلَ الْإِمَارَةَ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص

[Machine] Huzaifa, what did your people do? Did anyone leave them? He said, "Yes, he named a few during the time when people were leaving to join Uthman. Huzaifa said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever separates from the main group and becomes submissive to authority, he will meet Allah with no protection from Him.'"

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say: "Whoever separates from the community and becomes humiliated by authority, he will meet Allah and will have no evidence with Allah."  

الحاكم:٤١٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ حِرَاشٍ أَنَّهُ أَتَى حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ الْيَمَانِ بِبُرُودَةَ وَكَانَتْ أُخْتُهُ تَحْتَ حُذَيْفَةَ يَا رِبْعِيُّ مَا فَعَلَ قَوْمُكَ؟ وَذَلِكَ زَمَنَ خَرَجَ النَّاسُ إِلَى عُثْمَانَ قَالَ قَدْ خَرَجَ مِنْهُمْ نَاسٌ قَالَ فِيمَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ فَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ وَاسْتَذَلَّ الْإِمَارَةَ لَقِيَ اللَّهَ وَلَا حُجَّةَ لَهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ»  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ فَإِنَّ كَثِيرَ بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ كُوفِيٌّ سَكَنَ الْبَصْرَةَ» رَوَى عَنْهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ وَعِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ وَلَمْ يُذْكَرْ بِجَرْحٍ «الْحَدِيثُ السَّابِعُ فِيمَا يَدُلُّ عَلَى أَنَّ الْإِجْمَاعَ حُجَّةٌ»
