11. Book of Marriage
١١۔ كِتَابُ النِّكَاحِ
[Machine] "Abdullah narrated that there was a man who married a woman without giving her any dowry, nor did he consummate the marriage with her. Then, he passed away from her. The Prophet ﷺ ruled that she should receive her bridal gift, observe the waiting period (iddah), and inherit from him. Ma'qil al-Ashja'i said, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled similarly regarding Bura' bint Washiq, a woman from the Banu Ru'as tribe.' Hearing this, Muhammad and Sufyan rejoiced, and both said, 'We will follow this ruling.'"
