A man from the people of the scripture came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Abal-Qasim! Allah will hold the Heavens upon a Finger, and the Earth on a Finger and the land on a Finger, and all the creation on a Finger, and will say, 'I am the King! I am the King!' " I saw the Prophet (after hearing that), smiling till his premolar teeth became visible, and he then recited: -- 'No just estimate have they made of Allah such as due to him... (39.67)  

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلاَئِقَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ}  

A Jewish Rabbi came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Muhammad! Allah will put the Heavens on one finger and the earth on one finger, and the trees and the rivers on one finger, and the rest of the creation on one finger, and then will say, pointing out with His Hand, 'I am the King.' "On that Allah's Apostle smiled and said, "No just estimate have they made of Allah such as due to Him. (39.67)  

جَاءَ حَبْرٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَضَعُ السَّمَاءَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرْضَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ وَالأَنْهَارَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَسَائِرَ الْخَلْقِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ بِيَدِهِ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ}  

A priest from the Jews came (to the Prophet) and said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will place all the heavens on one finger, and the Earth on one finger, and the waters and the land on one finger, and all the creation on one finger, and then He will shake them and say. 'I am the King! I am the King!'" I saw the Prophet ﷺ smiling till his premolar teeth became visible expressing his amazement and his belief in what he had said. Then the Prophet ﷺ recited: 'No just estimate have they made of Allah such as due to Him (up to)...; High is He above the partners they attribute to Him.' (39.67)  

إِنَّهُ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْمَاءَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلاَئِقَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّهُنَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَضْحَكُ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ تَعَجُّبًا وَتَصْدِيقًا لِقَوْلِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {يُشْرِكُونَ}  

A ˹Jewish˺ Rabbi came to Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he said, "O Muhammad! We learn that Allah will put all the heavens on one finger, and the earths on one finger, and the trees on one finger, and the water and the dust on one finger, and all the other created beings on one finger. Then He will say, 'I am the King!'" Thereupon, the Prophet ﷺ smiled such that his pre-molar teeth became visible as a confirmation of ˹what˺ the Rabbi ˹had said˺. Then Messenger of Allah ﷺ then recited: "They did not give Allah the Esteem He truly deserves. And on the Day of Resurrection the whole of the earth will be grasped by His Hand and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. Glorified is He, and High is He above all that they associate as partners with Him. (Zumar 39:67)"  

جَاءَ حَبْرٌ مِنَ الأَحْبَارِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّا نَجِدُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْمَاءَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَسَائِرَ الْخَلاَئِقِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ فَيَقُولُ: «أَنَا الْمَلِكُ!» فَضَحِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ تَصْدِيقًا لِقَوْلِ الْحَبْرِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: "{وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ}۔"  

Muhammad, or Abu al-Qasim, verily, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious would carry the Heavens on the Day of Judgment upon one finger and earths upon one finger and the mountains and trees upon one finger and the ocean and moist earth upon one finger, and in fact the whole of the creation upon one finger, and then He would stir them and say: I am your Lord, I am your Lord. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled testifying what that scholar had said. He then recited this verse:" And they honour not Allah with the honour due to Him; and the whole earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection and the heaven rolled up in His right hand. Glory be to Him I and highly Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him)" (Az-Zumar:67).  

جَاءَ حَبْرٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَوْ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُمْسِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْمَاءَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَسَائِرَ الْخَلْقِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّهُنَّ فَيَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ تَعَجُّبًا مِمَّا قَالَ الْحَبْرُ تَصْدِيقًا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ { وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّمَوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ}  

Abu al-Qasim, verily, Allah holds the Heavens upon one finger and the earths upon one finger and the trees and moist earth upon one finger and in fact the whole of the creation upon one finger and then say: I am the King. I am the King. And he (the narrator) further said: I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiling until his front teeth became visible and then he recited the verse: "And they measure not the power of Allah with His true measure" (39:67).  

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلاَئِقَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ { وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ}  

"A Jew came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Muhammad! Allah will seize the heavens upon a finger, the mountains upon a finger, the earths upon a finger, and the rest of creation upon a finger. Then He says: 'I am the King.'" He said: 'So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his molars were visible. He said: "They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him (39:67)."  

جَاءَ يَهُودِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلاَئِقَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ قَالَ فَضَحِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ قَالَ (ومَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ ) قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ  

"A Jew came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Muhammad! Allah will seize the heavens upon a finger, the mountains upon a finger, the earths upon a finger, and the rest of creation upon a finger. Then He says: 'I am the King.'" He said: 'So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed until his molars were visible. He said: "They made not a just estimate of Allah such as is due to Him (39:67)." أَنَّ يَهُودِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلَائِقَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ وَقَالَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ} [الأنعام 91] قَالَ يَحْيَى وَقَالَ فُضَيْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عِيَاضٍ تَعَجُّبًا وَتَصْدِيقًا لَهُ

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ from the People of the Book and said, "O Abu Al-Qasim, let me inform you that Allah, the Almighty, carries the creation on His finger, and the heavens on His finger, and the earth on His finger, and the trees on His finger, and the soil on His finger?" The Prophet ﷺ laughed until his molars could be seen. Then Allah, the Almighty, revealed the verse, "They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal" [Al-An'am 91].  

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مِنْ أَهْلِالْكِتَابِ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ أَبَلَغَكَ أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يَحْمِلُ الْخَلَائِقَ عَلَى أُصْبُعٍ وَالسَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَى أُصْبُعٍ وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى أُصْبُعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى أُصْبُعٍ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى أُصْبُعٍ؟ فَضَحِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ} الْآيَةَ [الأنعام 91]  

[Machine] A Jew came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will make the heavens on a finger, and the earth on a finger, and the trees on a finger, and all creatures on a finger, then He will shake them and say, 'I am the King.' Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughing until his molars were visible in amazement at what the Jew said, confirming it. Then he recited, 'And they have not appraised Allah with true appraisal. Indeed, the earth entirely will be [within] His grip on the Day of Resurrection."'  

جَاءَ حَبْرٌ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ وَالْخَلَائِقَ كُلَّهَا عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ثُمَّ يَهُزُّهُنَّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ ضَحِكَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ تَعَجُّبًا لَمَّا قَالَ الْيَهُودِيُّ تَصْدِيقًا لَهُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ} «

A Jew came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Muhammad! Allah will hold the heavens on a Finger, and the mountains on a Finger, and the trees on a Finger, and all the creation on a Finger, and then He will say, 'I am the King.' " On that Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled till his premolar teeth became visible, and then recited:-- 'No just estimate have they made of Allah such as due to him....(39.67) ʿAbdullah added: Allah's Apostle smiled (at the Jew's statement) expressing his wonder and belief in what was said. أَنْ يَهُودِيًّا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ اللهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبُعٍ وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبُعٍ وَالْجِبَالَ وَالْخَلَائِقَ عَلَى إِصْبُعٍ قَالَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَنَا الْمَلِكُ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ وَقَالَ {وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ} [الأنعام 91] [240] قَالَ يَحْيَى وَزَادَ فِيهِ فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَعَجُّبًا وَتَصْدِيقًا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ خَالَفَهُ عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ
