The Prophet ﷺ said, "But for the emigration, I would have been one of the Ansar; and if the people took their way in a valley (or a mountain pass), I would take Ansar's valley or their mountain pass."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْلاَ الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَهَا

The Messenger of Allah said: "The Ansar are an inner garment and the people are an outer garment. If the people were to head towards one valley or a narrow mountain pass and the Ansar towards another, I would travel to the valley of the Ansar, and were it not for the Hijrah, I would have been a man from among the Ansar."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الأَنْصَارُ شِعَارٌ وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارٌ وَلَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ اسْتَقْبَلُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا وَاسْتَقْبَلَتِ الأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْلاَ الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If it were not for the Hijrah, I would be a man from the Ansar." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3899)

وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَكُنْتُ مَعَ الْأَنْصَارِ

[Machine] "On the authority of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , he said: If it were not for migration, I would have been one of the Ansar (the people of Medina). Even if the Ansar took a valley or a path, I would still be with the Ansar."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَكُنْتُ مَعَ الْأَنْصَارِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it were not for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar. And if people were to take a path or a valley, I would be with the Ansar."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ شِعْبًا أَوْ قَالَ وَادِيًا لَكُنْتُ مَعَ الْأَنْصَارِ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it were not for migration, I would have been one of the Ansar. If people were to take a path or a valley, and the Ansar took a different path or valley, I would have taken the path and valley of the Ansar."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ فِي وَادٍ أَوْ شِعْبٍ وَسَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَهُمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If the Ansar had taken a valley or a mountain path, I would have taken the path of the Ansar. And if it were not for the Hijrah (migration), I would have been one of the Ansar.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ لَوْ أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ

A person who believes in Allah and the Last Day never nurses a grudge against the Ansar. (Using translation from Muslim 76)

وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُبْغِضُ الْأَنْصَارَ رَجُلٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَهُمْ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعَارِي وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارِي

[Machine] Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ said: If the Ansar took a valley or a tribe as their path, I would choose the path of the Ansar, whether it was a tribe or a valley. And if it weren't for the migration, I would have been a member of the Ansar. Abu Hurairah said: He did not wrong me by his father and mother taking care of him and support him. He said: And I consider him to have comforted and consoled him.

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ لَوْ سَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَمَا ظَلَمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي آوَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ قَالَ وَأَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ وَوَاسَوْهُ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If the Ansar (the residents of Medina who welcomed and helped the Prophet and the early Muslims) took a valley or a mountain path, I would take the same valley or mountain path as them. And if it weren't for the Migration (from Mecca to Medina), I would have been one of the Ansar." Abu Huraira said, "My father and mother were not unjust to me. They supported and assisted me."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ سَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَوْ شِعْبَهُمْ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَمَا ظَلَمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي لَقَدْ آوَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ أَوْ وَاسَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it were not for the Hijrah (migration), I would have been one of the Ansar (helpers). And if people were to take a path or a valley, and the Ansar were to take a different path or valley, I would have taken the path and valley of the Ansar."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ أَنَّ النَّاسَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبَةً وَسَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبَةً لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَشِعْبَتَهُمْ

The Prophet ﷺ or Abul-Qasim said, "If the Ansar took their way through a valley or a mountain pass, I would take Ansar's valley. And but for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar." Abu Huraira used to say, "The Prophet ﷺ is not unjust (by saying so). May my parents be sacrificed for him, for the Ansar sheltered and helped him," or said a similar sentence. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ «لَوَ أَنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ سَلَكُوا وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا وَسَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ «مَا ظَلَمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي لَقَدْ آوَوْهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ وَكَلِمَةً أُخْرَى»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man who believes in Allah and the Last Day does not hate the Ansar." He also said, "If it were not for the Hijrah (migration), I would have been one of the Ansar. And if the Ansar traveled through a valley and a path, I would have traveled through their valley and path. The Ansar are my banner and the people are my protection."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يُبْغِضُ الْأَنْصَارَ رَجُلٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ» وَقَالَ «لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَلَوْ سَلَكَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا وَشِعْبًا لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِيَهُمْ وَشِعْبَهُمُ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعَارِي وَالنَّاسُ دِثَارِي»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, if the people were to take a valley and the Ansar were to take a valley, I would choose the valley of the Ansar. The Ansar are my family and my honor. If it were not for the migration, I would have been one of the Ansar."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ أَخَذَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا وَأَخَذَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا لَأَخَذْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ الْأَنْصَارُ كَرْشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ»

اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لولا الهجرة لكنت امْرَءًا من الأنصار ولو سلك الناس واديا أو شعبا وسلكت الأنصار واديا لسلكت وادي الأنصار وشعبهم

"لَوْلا الهِجْرُةُ لَكنتُ امْرأً من الأنْصَارِ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا، أوْ شِعْبًا، لَكُنُتُ مَع الأنْصَارِ".

"لَوْلا الِهِجْرُةُ لَكنتُ امْرأً من الأنْصَارِ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ النَّاسُ وَادِيا، أوْ شِعْبًا، لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِى الأنصار وشِعَبه".

"لَوْ أن النَّاسَ سَلَكُوا وَاديًا أوْ شِعْبًا، وَسَلَكَ الأنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أوْ شِعْبًا، لَسَلَكْتُ وَادِى الأنْصَارِ أوْ شِعْبَهم، وَلَوْلا الهِجْرَةُ لَكنتُ امْرءًا مِنَ الأنْصَارِ".

"الأنْصَارُ شِعارٌ والناسُ دثارٌ، ولو أن الناسَ استَقبَلوا وَاديًا أو شعبًا واستقبلت الأنصارُ واديًا لسلكتُ وادى الأَنصارِ ولولا الهجرةُ لكنت امرءًا من الأَنصار".
