The Prophet ﷺ forbade vowing and said, "In fact, vowing does not prevent anything, but it makes a miser to spend his property."
نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
The Prophet ﷺ forbade vowing and said, "In fact, vowing does not prevent anything, but it makes a miser to spend his property."
نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ قَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
The Prophet ﷺ forbade the making of vows and said, "It (a vow) does not prevent anything (that has to take place), but the property of a miser is spent (taken out) with it."
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنَّهُ يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
Messenger of Allah (may peace he upon him) singled out one day forbidding us to take vows and said: It would not avert anything; it is by which something is extracted from the miserly person.
أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا يَنْهَانَا عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّحِيحِ
The vow neither hastens anything nor defers anything, but is the means whereby (something) is extracted from the miserly person.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ النَّذْرُ لاَ يُقَدِّمُ شَيْئًا وَلاَ يُؤَخِّرُهُ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
It does not (necessarily) bring good (in the form of substantial, and tangible results), but it is the meant whereby something is extracted from the miserly persons.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَأْتِي بِخَيْرٍ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
It does not avert Fate, but is the means by which something is extracted from the miser.
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ مِنَ الْقَدَرِ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
"They do not bring any good; they are just a means of taking wealth from the miserly."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَأْتِي بِخَيْرٍ إِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ
"The Messenger of Allah forbade vows and said: 'They do not change anything; they are just a means of taking wealth from the miserly.'"
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا إِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّحِيحِ
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade to make a vow. He said: It has not effect against fate, it is only from the miserly that it is means by which something is extracted. Musaddad said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: A vow does not avert anything (i.e. has no effect against fate).
أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنِ النَّذْرِ ثُمَّ اتَّفَقَا وَيَقُولُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ النَّذْرُ لاَ يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade vows and said: 'They are just a means of taking wealth from the miserly."'
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ اللَّئِيمِ
"Do not make vows, for a vow does not have any impact on the Qadar. Rather it is just a means of taking wealth from the miserly." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3805)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَنْذِرُوا فَإِنَّ النَّذْرَلَا يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْقَدَرِ وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Indeed, a vow does not remove anything, but rather it is extracted from the stingy person."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ النَّذْرُ لَا يَرُدُّ شَيْئًا وَلَكِنْ يُسْتَخْرَجُ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ»

"نَهَانَا النَّبِىُّ ﷺ عَنِ النَّذْرِ وَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ لاَ يُقَدِّمُ شَيْئًا وَإنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرجُ بِهِ مِنَ الشَّحِيحِ".
