The ifrit that tried to interrupt the Prophet’s ﷺ prayer

from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "An ifrit from the jinn attacked me last night," or words like that, "to interrupt my prayer. But Allah ﷻ gave me power over him, and I wanted to tie him to one of the pillars of the masjid so that by morning all of you could look at him. Then I remembered the words of my brother Solomon: "My Lord, grant me a kingdom that will not belong to anyone after me."" Rawh said: Then he drove him away humiliated.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «إِنَّ عِفْرِيتًا مِنَ الْجِنِّ تَفَلَّتَ عَلَىَّ الْبَارِحَةَ»، أَوْ كَلِمَةً نَحْوَهَا، «لِيَقْطَعَ عَلَىَّ الصَّلاَةَ، فَأَمْكَنَنِي اللَّهُ مِنْهُ، فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَرْبِطَهُ إِلَى سَارِيَةٍ مِنْ سَوَارِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تُصْبِحُوا وَتَنْظُرُوا إِلَيْهِ كُلُّكُمْ، فَذَكَرْتُ قَوْلَ أَخِي سُلَيْمَانَ: ﴿رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِي﴾». قَالَ رَوْحٌ: فَرَدَّهُ خَاسِئًا
