34.19 To explain the good and bad points of the transaction
[Machine] "And it is narrated from Al-'Adaa ibn Khalid, he said: The Prophet ﷺ wrote to me saying, 'This is what Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has bought from Al-'Adaa ibn Khalid, the sale of a Muslim to a Muslim, without deceit or defect or misrepresentation.' And Qatadah said, 'Misrepresentation includes adultery, theft, and embezzlement.' And it was said to Ibrahim, 'Some of the informants are named Khurasan and Sijistan, and they would say, "He came yesterday from Khurasan, he came today from Sijistan." So he strongly disliked it.' And 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir said, 'It is not permissible for a person to sell goods that he knows have defects, unless he informs the buyer about it.'"
