Send with us a person who should teach us Sunnah and al-Islam, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) caught hold of the hand of Ubaida and said: He is a man of trust of this Umma.

أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلاً يُعَلِّمْنَا السُّنَّةَ وَالإِسْلاَمَ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ فَقَالَ هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ

[AI] "When the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , they asked him to send a man with them to teach them. So, he sent Abu Ubaidah with them and said, 'He is trustworthy for this nation.'"

أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ لَمَّا قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ سَأَلُوهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ مَعَهُمْ رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُهُمْ فَبَعَثَ مَعَهُمْ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ وَقَالَ هُوَ أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ

Send with us a person who should teach us Sunnah and al-Islam, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) caught hold of the hand of Ubaida and said: He is a man of trust of this Umma. (Using translation from Muslim 2419b)

أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ فَأَرْسَلَهُ مَعَهُمْ فَقَالَ هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ

[AI] "A delegation from the people of Yemen came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he wanted to send a man with them. They said, 'Send a man with us,' so he said, 'I will send with you a trustworthy person of this nation.' He then sent Abu Ubaydah bin Al-Jarrah. In another narration, they said, 'O Messenger of Allah, send a man with us to teach us.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the hand of Abu Ubaydah bin Al-Jarrah and said, 'Every nation has a trustworthy person, and this is the trustworthy person of this nation.'"

أَنَّ وَفْدًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ قَدِمُوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ مَعَهُمْ رَجُلًا فَقَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا فَقَالَ أَبْعَثُ مَعَكُمْ أَمِينَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ فَبَعَثَ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ الْجَرَّاحِ وَفِي مَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ فَقَالَ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَمِينٌ وَهَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ

[AI] When the people of Yemen came to the Prophet ﷺ , they said, "Send with us a man who can teach us the book of our Lord and the Sunnah." The Prophet ﷺ then took the hand of Abu Ubaidah and handed him over to them saying, "This is a trustworthy person of this nation."

لَمَّا قَدِمَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالُوا ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رَجُلًا يُعَلِّمُنَا كِتَابَ رَبِّنَا وَالسُّنَّةَ قَالَ فَأَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِيَدِ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ هَذَا أَمِينُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ

This narration is authentic according to the conditions of Imam Muslim, and they did not mention the Quran according to the conditions of Imam Muslim.
