"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ awoke in the morning and called for Bilal, then said: 'O Bilal! By what have you preceded me to Paradise? I have not entered Paradise at all, except that I heard your footsteps before me. I entered Paradise last night, and I heard your footsteps before me, and I came upon a square palace having balconies made of gold. So I said: 'Whose palace is this?' They said: 'A man among the Arabs.' So I said: 'I am an Arab, whose palace is this?' They said: 'A man among the Quraish.' So I said: 'I am from the Quraish, whose palace is this?' They said: 'A man from the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ.' So I said: 'I am Muhammad, whose palace is this?' They said: ''Umar bin Al-Khattab's.' So Bilal said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I have never called the Adhan except that I prayed two Rak'ah, and I never committed Hadath except that I performed Wudu upon that, and I considered that I owed Allah two Rak'ah.' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'For those two.'"

أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَدَعَا بِلاَلاً فَقَالَ يَا بِلاَلُ بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ مَا دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَطُّ إِلاَّ سَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَتَكَ أَمَامِي دَخَلْتُ الْبَارِحَةَ الْجَنَّةَ فَسَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَتَكَ أَمَامِي فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَصْرٍ مُرَبَّعٍ مُشَرَّفٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ فَقَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قُلْتُ أَنَا قُرَشِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ قُلْتُ أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ قَالُوا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ بِلاَلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَذَّنْتُ قَطُّ إِلاَّ صَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَمَا أَصَابَنِي حَدَثٌ قَطُّ إِلاَّ تَوَضَّأْتُ عِنْدَهَا وَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّ لِلَّهِ عَلَىَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِهِمَا

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي بُرَيْدَةَ يَقُولُ أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَدَعَا بِلَالًافَقَالَ يَا بِلَالُ بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ؟ مَا دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَطُّ إِلَّا سَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَتَكَ أَمَامِي إِنِّي دَخَلْتُ الْبَارِحَةَ الْجَنَّةَ فَسَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَتَكَ فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَصْرٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مُرْتَفِعٍ مُشْرِفٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ قُلْتُ أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ قُلْتُ فَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا غَيْرَتُكَ يَا عُمَرُ لَدَخَلْتُ الْقَصْرَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا كُنْتُ لِأَغَارَ عَلَيْكَ قَالَ وَقَالَ لِبِلَالٍ بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ؟ ‍ قَالَ مَا أَحْدَثْتُ إِلَّا تَوَضَّأْتُ وَصَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِهَذَا

دَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِلَالًا فَقَالَ يَا بِلَالُ بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ إِنِّي دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ الْبَارِحَةَ فَسَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَتَكَ أَمَامِي فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَصْرٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مُرَبَّعٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ قُلْتُ فَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُو لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ قُلْتُ أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قُلْتُ فَأَنَا قُرَشِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لَعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَذَّنْتُ قَطُّ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَمَا أَصَابَنِي حَدَثٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا تَوَضَّأْتُ عِنْدَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِهَذَا

[AI] One day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ woke up and called Bilal. He said, "O Bilal, how did you surpass me to Paradise last night? I heard the rustling of your footsteps in front of me, so I followed it until I reached a square-golden palace surrounded by a balcony. I asked, 'Whose palace is this?' They replied, 'It belongs to a man from the Quraysh.' I asked, 'Am I from the Quraysh?' They said, 'No, it belongs to Umar ibn Al-Khattab.' Then Bilal said, 'O Messenger of Allah, whenever I hear the call to prayer, I never fail to perform two Rak'ahs (units of prayer). And whenever any impurity comes upon me, I always perform ablution.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'By following this practice, you have fulfilled the conditions of both Bukhari and Muslim.'"

أَصْبَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَوْمًا فَدَعَا بِلَالًا فَقَالَ يَا بِلَالُ بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ الْبَارِحَةَ فَسَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَتَكَ أَمَامِي فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَصْرٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مُرَبَّعٍ مُشْرِفٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ فَقَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا قُرَشِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَذَّنْتُ قَطُّ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَمَا أَصَابَنِي حَدَثٌ إِلَّا تَوَضَّأْتُ عِنْدَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «بِهَذَا» صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I did not enter Paradise except that I heard a rustling sound. So I asked, 'Who is this?' They said, 'Bilal.' Then I passed by a beautifully constructed palace and asked, 'Whose is this?' They said, 'A man from the nation of Muhammad ﷺ .' So I asked, 'Am I Muhammad? Whose palace is this?' They said, 'It belongs to a man from the Arabs.' So I asked, 'Am I an Arab? Whose palace is this?' They said, 'It belongs to Umar ibn Al-Khattab.' Then Umar said to Bilal, 'By what did you surpass me to Paradise?' Bilal replied, 'I did not do anything except that I performed ablution and I did not perform ablution except that I prayed.' Umar said to the Messenger of Allah, 'If not for your jealousy, I would have entered the palace.' The Messenger of Allah said, 'O Umar, I could not bear to see you in a state of distress.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا سَمِعْتُ خَشْخَشَةً» فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا بِلَالٌ ثُمَّ مَرَرْتُ بِقَصْرٍ مُشَيَّدٍ بَدِيعٍ فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَقُلْتُ أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ « فَقَالَ لِبِلَالٍ » بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ «؟ قَالَ مَا أَحْدَثْتُ إِلَّا تَوَضَّأْتُ وَمَا تَوَضَّأْتُ إِلَّا صَلَّيْتُ وَقَالَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ » لَوْلَا غَيْرَتُكَ لَدَخَلْتُ الْقَصْرَ « فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَغَارَ عَلَيْكَ

"يَا بِلَالُ! بِمَ سَبَقْتَنِى إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ؟ مَا دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ قَطُّ إِلَّا سَمِعْتُ

خَشْخَشَتَكَ أَمَامِى، فَأَتَيْتُ عَلَى قَصْرٍ مُرَبَّعٍ مُشَرَّفٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقُلْتُ "لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا: لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ، فَقُلْتُ: (مُحَمَّدٌ) (*) أَنَا عَرَبِىٌّ، لِمَن هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا: لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا قُرَشِىٌّ، لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا: لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّد، فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ؟ قَالُوا: لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، فَقَالَ بِلَالٌ: مَا أَذَّنْتُ قَطُّ إِلا صَلَّيْتُ، رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَمَا أَصَابَنِى حَدَثٌ قَطُّ إِلا تَوضَّأتُ وَصَلَّيْتُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ: بِهَذَا".
