I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: If any of you is suffering from anything or his brother is suffering, he should say: Our Lord is Allah Who is in the heaven, holy is Thy name, Thy command reigns supreme in the heaven and the earth, as Thy mercy in the heaven, make Thy mercy in the earth; forgive us our sins, and our errors; Thou art the Lord of good men; send down mercy from Thy mercy, and remedy, and remedy from Thy remedy on this pain so that it is healed up.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ اشْتَكَى مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا أَوِ اشْتَكَاهُ أَخٌ لَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ أَمْرُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَاجْعَلْ رَحْمَتَكَ فِي الأَرْضِ اغْفِرْ لَنَا حُوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا أَنْتَ رَبُّ الطَّيِّبِينَ أَنْزِلْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَشِفَاءً مِنْ شِفَائِكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَجَعِ فَيَبْرَأُ

[AI] Two men sought a cure for urinary ailments, so they went to Abu Darda. They mentioned their ailments to him, and he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, say, 'If any one of you complains of anything, or his brother complains about something, let him say, 'Our Lord is Allah Who is in heaven, holy is Your name. Your command comes from heaven and earth, as Your mercy is in heaven, so make Your mercy in the earth. Forgive us our sins and our transgressions. Surely, You are the Lord of good people, so send down mercy from Your mercy, and healing from Your healing, and cure this illness, if it is Your will, Most High.' The two sheikhs, other than Ziyad ibn Muhammad, have confirmed the authenticity of this Hadith with all its narrators. Ziyad ibn Muhammad is a sheikh from the people of Egypt who narrates few Hadiths."

أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ أَقْبَلَا يَلْتَمِسَانِ الشِّفَاءَ مِنَ الْبَوْلِ فَانْطَلَقَ بِهِمَا إِلَى أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فَذَكَرَا وَجَعَ أُنْثَيَيْهِمَا لَهُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ اشْتَكَى مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا أَوِ اشْتَكَاهُ أَخٌ لَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ رَبَّنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ أَمْرُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَاجْعَلْ رَحْمَتَكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا إِنَّكَ رَبُّ الطَّيِّبِينَ فَأَنْزِلْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ وَشِفَاءً مِنْ شِفَائِكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَجْهِ فَيَبْرَأُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى «قَدِ احْتَجَّ الشَّيْخَانِ بِجَمِيعِ رُوَاةِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ غَيْرِ زِيَادَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَهُوَ شَيْخٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ مِصْرَ قَلِيلُ الْحَدِيثِ»

[AI] He said that two men from Iraq came seeking a cure for their father who had urinary retention. The people guided them to a particular place, so the two men came with a cure. When the one they were to meet was mentioned, he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever of you or his brother complains of something, let him say: O our Lord, Yours is the sanctification of Your name in the heaven, Your command is in the heaven and the earth, as Your mercy is in the heaven and the earth, so forgive our mistakes and sins, O Lord of the righteous ones. Send down a cure, a healing from Your healing upon this pain, so that he may be cured."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ يَلْتَمِسَانِ الشِّفَاءَ لِأَبٍ لَهُمَا حُبِسَ بَوْلُهُ فَدَلَّهُ الْقَوْمُ عَلَى فَضَالَةَ فَجَاءَ الرَّجُلَانِ وَمَعَهُمَا فَضَالَةُ فُذُكِرَ الَّذِي يَأْتِيهُمَا فَقَالَ فَضَالَةُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنِ اشْتَكَى مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا أَوِ اشْتَكَى أَخٌ لَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ رَبَّنَا الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ أَمَرُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ اغْفِرْ لَنَا حَوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا يَا رَبَّ الطَّيِّبِينَ أَنْزِلْ شِفَاءً مِنْ شِفَائِكَ وَرَحْمَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَجَعِ فَيَبْرَأْ

[AI] That his father had a urinary retention and he developed a kidney stone, so he taught him a ruqyah that he heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "Our Lord, who is in heaven, may your name be sanctified. Your command is in the heavens and the earth, just as your mercy is in the heavens, make your mercy on the earth, and forgive our weaknesses and sins. You are the Lord of the righteous, so send down healing from your healings and mercy from your mercy upon this pain, so that it may be healed." And he commanded him to recite it over him, so he recited it over him and he was healed. Al-Hasan ibn Abi Maryam narrated that Ahmad ibn Saad ibn al-Hakam ibn Abi Maryam informed us on the authority of his paternal uncle that Al-Layth informed us on the authority of Ziyad ibn Muhammad Al-Ansari that he heard Fadalah say: "Two men came from Iraq seeking a cure for their father who had urinary retention, so the people directed them to Abu Al-Darda. The two men came to him and with them was Fadalah, so they mentioned their problem to him. Abu Al-Darda said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever of you complains of anything or has a brother who complains of anything, let him say..." and he mentioned similar words.''

أَنَّ أَبَاهُ احْتَبَسَ بَوْلُهُ فَأَصَابَتْهُ حَصَاةُ الْبَوْلِ فَعَلَّمَهُ رُقْيَةً سَمِعَهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ «رَبَّنَا الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ تَقَدَّسَ اسْمُكَ أَمْرُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَاجْعَلْ رَحْمَتَكَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا حُوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا أَنْتَ رَبُّ الطَّيِّبِينَ فَأَنْزِلْ شِفَاءً مِنْ شِفَائِكَ وَرَحْمَةً مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْوَجَعِ فَيَبْرَأُ» وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَرْقِيَهُ بِهَا فَرَقَاهُ بِهَا فَبَرِأَ [382] خَالَفَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ 10810 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادَةُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ يَلْتَمِسَانِ الشِّفَاءَ لِأَبِيهِمَا حُبِسَ بَوْلُهُ فَدَلَّهُ الْقَوْمُ عَلَى أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ فَجَاءَهُ الرَّجُلَانِ وَمَعَهُمَا فَضَالَةُ فَذَكَرُوا لَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اشْتَكَى مِنْكُمْ شَيْئًا أَوِ اشْتَكَى أَخٌ لَهُ فَلْيَقُلْ» فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

"مَنِ اشْتَكَى منكم شَيئًا، أَو اشتكاه أَخٌ لَهُ ، فَليَقُلْ "ربنا الله الذي في السماءِ والأَرضِ كَمَا رَحْمَتُكَ في السماء، فَاجْعَلْ رَحْمَتَك في الأَرْضِ، اغْفِرْ لَنا حُوبَنَا وَخَطَايَانَا، أَنْتَ ربُّ الطيِّبين، أَنْزِلْ رحْمَةً من رَحْمَتِكَ، وشِفَاءً من شِفَائِكَ عَلَى هَذَا الوجَع فَيَبْرَأ".
