The Messenger of Allah ﷺ struck my thigh and said: How would you act if you survive among the people who would delay prayers beyond their (prescribed) time? He (Abu Dharr) said: What do you command (under this situation)? He (the Holy Prophet) slid: Observe prayer at its prescribed time, then go (to meet) your needs, and if the Iqama is pronounced, and you are present in the mosque, then observe prayer (along with the Jama'at).

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَضَرَبَ فَخِذِي كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلاَةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا قَالَ قَالَ مَا تَأْمُرُ قَالَ صَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ اذْهَبْ لِحَاجَتِكَ فَإِنْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ وَأَنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلِّ

(The Messenger of Allah) said: How would you, or how would thou, act if you survive to live among people who defer prayer beyond the (prescribed) time? (The narrator said: Allah and His Messenger know best). whereupon he said: Observe prayer at its prescribed time, but if the Iqama is pronounced for (congregational) prayer, then observe prayer along with them. for herein is an excess of virtue.

كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلاَةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا فَصَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ فَإِنَّهَا زِيَادَةُ خَيْرٍ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, and struck my thigh: 'What will you do if you stay among people who delay the prayer until its time is over?' He said: 'What do you command me to do?' He said: 'Offer the prayer on time, then go about your business. Then if the Iqamah for that prayer is said and you are in the Masjid, then pray.'"

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَضَرَبَ فَخِذِي كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلاَةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا قَالَ مَا تَأْمُرُ قَالَ صَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ اذْهَبْ لِحَاجَتِكَ فَإِنْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ وَأَنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلِّ

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ slapped his thigh and said to him, 'How would you be if you were among a people who delay the prayer?' Then he said, 'Pray the prayer at its appointed time, and if you are in the mosque until the prayer is established, then pray with them.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ ضَرَبَ فَخِذَهُ وَقَالَ لَهُ كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ انْهَضْ فَإِنْ كُنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تُقَامَ الصَّلَاةُ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "What would you do if you were among people who delay the prayer from its time?" He said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "Pray the prayer at its appointed time and then leave, for if the prayer is established while you are in the mosque, then pray with them."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ «كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا؟» قَالَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا وَاخْرُجْ فَإِنْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ وَأَنْتَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ»
