AbuIshaq reported on the authority of Silah: We were with Ammar on the day when the appearance of the moon was doubtful. (The meat of) goat was brought to him. Some people kept aloof from (eating) it. Ammar said: He who keeps fast on this day disobeys AbulQasim (i.e. the Prophet) ﷺ.

كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَمَّارٍ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ فَأُتِيَ بِشَاةٍ فَتَنَحَّى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ مَنْ صَامَ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ

We were with Ammar b. Yasir when a roasted sheep was brought and he said: "Eat." Someone among the people said: "I am fasting." So Ammar said: "Whoever fasts on a day in which there is doubt, then he has disobeyed Abu al-Qasim ﷺ."

كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ فَأُتِيَ بِشَاةٍ مَصْلِيَّةٍ فَقَالَ كُلُوا فَتَنَحَّى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ مَنْ صَامَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ فِيهِ النَّاسُ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ

"We were with 'Ammar and a roast sheep was brought and he said: 'Eat.' One of the people turned away and said: 'I am fasting 'Ammar said: Whoever fasts on the day concerning which there is doubt, has disobeyed Abu Al-Qasim."' '

كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَمَّارٍ فَأُتِيَ بِشَاةٍ مَصْلِيَّةٍ فَقَالَ كُلُوا فَتَنَحَّى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ قَالَ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ مَنْ صَامَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ

“We were with ‘Ammar on the day concerning which there was some doubt. A (roasted) sheep was brought and some of the people moved away. ‘Ammar said: ‘Whoever is fasting on this day has disobeyed Abu Qasim ﷺ.’”

كُنَّا عِنْدَ عَمَّارٍ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ فَأُتِيَ بِشَاةٍ فَتَنَحَّى بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ عَمَّارٌ مَنْ صَامَ هَذَا الْيَوْمَ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ

[AI] Ammar ibn Yasir said, "Whoever fasts on the day that is doubted has disobeyed Abu al-Qasim (referring to Prophet Muhammad)."

عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ «مَنْ صَامَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ»

[AI] "Ammar said: 'Whoever fasts on the Day of Doubt (the day before the new moon is sighted to mark the beginning of Ramadan), has disobeyed Abu Al-Qasim (referring to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him)."

عَمَّارٌ «مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمَ الشَّكِّ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ»

[AI] Ammar ibn Yasir said, "Whoever fasts on the day which is doubted (uncertain), has disobeyed Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ."

عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ «مَنْ صَامَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يُشَكُّ فِيهِ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ»

[AI] Ammar ibn Yassir said, "Whoever fasts on the day they have doubts about, has disobeyed Abu al-Qasim ﷺ ."

عَمَّارُبْنُ يَاسِرٍ «مَنْ صَامَ الْيَوْمَ الَّذِي يَشُكُّ فِيهِ فَقَدْ عَصَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ»

[AI] "Ammaar said, 'Whoever fasts on the day in which there is doubt, has disobeyed the Prophet Muhammad.'"
