[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you send us to a people who do not recognize us, what do you see in that?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "If you stay with a people, you should be treated as guests deserve. If they do not do so, then take from them the rights of the guest that are due to you."  

البيهقي:٢١٣٠١ – وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ثنا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ تَبْعَثُنَا فَنَنْزِلُ بِقَوْمٍ لَا يَقْرُونَنَا فَمَا تَرَى فِي ذَلِكَ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنْ نَزَلْتُمْ بِقَوْمٍ فَأُمِرَ لَكُمْ بِمَا يَنْبَغِي لِلضَّيْفِ فَاقْبَلُوا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا فَخُذُوا مِنْهُمْ حَقَّ الضَّيْفِ الَّذِي يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ

We said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! You send us out and it happens that we have to stay with such people as do not entertain us. What do you think about it?" We said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ: You send us out and we come to the people who do not give us hospitality, so what is your opinion? Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If you come to the people who order for you what is befitting a guest, accept it; but if they do not. take from them what befits them to give to a guest.

we said: Messenger of Allah! You send us out and we come to people who do not give hospitality, so what is your opinion? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If you come to people who order for you what is fitting for a guest, accept it; but if they do not, take from them what is fitting for them to give to a guest. Abu Dawud said: And this is an authority for a man to take a thing if it is due to him.
