[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wakes up in the morning in a state of sexual impurity, then he does not fast." I then went with my father and entered upon Umm Salamah and Aisha, and we asked them about that. They informed us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of sexual impurity without having had a wet dream, then he would fast. We then met Abu Hurairah, and my father narrated the incident to him. Abu Hurairah's face turned red and he said, "Thus Fadl ibn Abbas informed me, and they are more knowledgeable."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wakes up in the morning in a state of impurity, he has no fast." So, I and my father went to Umm Salama and Aisha, the wives of the Prophet ﷺ , and asked them. They informed us that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of impurity without any emission, and then he would observe fast. We then went to Marwan ibn Hakam and informed him of what they had said, as well as the saying of Abu Huraira. Marwan said, "I have determined to ask you not to go to Abu Huraira and inform him." We then met Abu Huraira, who was near the gate of the mosque, and said to him, "Indeed, the Amir has determined something regarding a matter that I will mention to you." Abu Huraira asked, "What is it?" My father narrated it to him, and Abu Huraira's face changed, then he said, "This is how al-Fadl ibn Abbas narrated it to me, and he is more knowledgeable."

My father then met Abu Hurayrah at the gate of the mosque and told him, "The Ameer has requested a matter for us to mention to you." Abu Hurayrah asked, "What is it?" So my father informed him, and Abu Hurayrah became red in the face and said, "This is what Fadl ibn Abbas said, and he is more knowledgeable." Then Al-Zuhri said, "So he changed the narration to something else."
