The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who has reached puberty unless she wears a veil. Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been narrated by Sa;id b. Abi 'Arubah from Qatadah on the authority of al-Hasan from the Prophet ﷺ.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لاَ يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلاَةَ حَائِضٍ إِلاَّ بِخِمَارٍ

Salim ibn AbulJa'dah said: A man said: (Mis'ar said: I think he was from the tribe of Khuza'ah): would that I had prayed, and got comfort. The people objected to him for it. Thereupon he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: O Bilal, call iqamah for prayer: give us comfort by it.

قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ أُرَاهُ مِنْ خُزَاعَةَ لَيْتَنِي صَلَّيْتُ فَاسْتَرَحْتُ فَكَأَنَّهُمْ عَابُوا عَلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَا بِلاَلُ أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ أَرِحْنَا بِهَا

I and my father went to the house of my father-in-law from the Ansar to pay a sick visit to him. The time of prayer came. He said to someone of his relatives: O girl! bring me water for ablution so that I pray and get comfort. We objected to him for it. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Get up, Bilal, and give us comfort by the prayer.

انْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي إِلَى صِهْرٍ لَنَا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ نَعُودُهُ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَقَالَ لِبَعْضِ أَهْلِهِ يَا جَارِيَةُ ائْتُونِي بِوَضُوءٍ لَعَلِّي أُصَلِّي فَأَسْتَرِيحَ قَالَ فَأَنْكَرْنَا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قُمْ يَا بِلاَلُ أَقِمْ فَأَرِحْنَا بِالصَّلاَةِ

The Prophet said: "Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who menstruates (i.e., an adult woman) except with a head cover."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلاَةَ حَائِضٍ إِلاَّ بِخِمَارٍ

Ibn Umar used to say that when the Muslims first arrived in Medina, they would gather and wait for the prayer time without anyone calling for it. One day, they discussed this issue, and some of them said, 'Use a bell like the Christians,' while others said, 'Rather, use a horn like the Jews.' Then Umar said, 'Why don’t you send a man to call for the prayer?' So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Bilal, stand and call for the prayer.'

أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ كَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ حِينَ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ يَجْتَمِعُونَ فَيَتَحَيَّنُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَيْسَ يُنَادِي بِهَا أَحَدٌ فَتَكَلَّمُوا يَوْمًا فِي ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ اتَّخِذُوا نَاقُوسًا مِثْلَ نَاقُوسِ النَّصَارَى وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَلْ قَرْنًا مِثْلَ قَرْنِ الْيَهُودِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ أَوَلَا تَبْعَثُونَ رَجُلًا يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا بِلَالُ قُمْ فَنَادِ بِالصَّلَاةِ

I and my father went to the house of my father-in-law from the Ansar to pay a sick visit to him. The time of prayer came. دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى صِهْرٍ لَنَا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَقَالَ يَا جَارِيَةُ ائْتِنِي بِوَضُوءٍ لَعَلِّي أُصَلِّي فَأَسْتَرِيحَ فَرَآنَا أَنْكَرْنَا ذَاكَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قُمْ يَا بِلَالُ فَأَرِحْنَا بِالصَّلَاةِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The burden is with the guarantor."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْغَلَّةُ بِالضَّمَانِ

The Prophet said: "Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who menstruates (i.e., an adult woman) except with a head cover." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 655)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُقْبَلُ صَلَاةُ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer of a menstruating woman will not be accepted unless she wears a headscarf."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُقْبَلُ صَلَاةُ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The prayer of a menstruating woman is not accepted without a headscarf.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُقْبَلُ صَلَاةُ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ صَلَاةَ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ»

[AI] And he said, "The prayer of a menstruating woman is not valid except with a head covering."

وَقَالَ « صَلَاةَ امْرَأَةٍ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ»

أُرَاهُ مِنْ خُزَاعَةَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ فَاسْتَرَحْتُ فَكَأَنَّهُمْ عَابُوا ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَا بِلَالُ أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ أَرِحْنَا»

[AI] I went with my father to visit a relative of ours who had recently embraced Islam. I overheard him saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'Grant us relief through it, O Bilal, with the prayer.'" I asked him, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He became angry and turned to the people, informing them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sent a man to a tribe of the Arabs. When he arrived, he said: 'Verily, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has commanded me to judge in your affairs as I wish.' They replied: 'We hear and obey the command of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ .' They then sent a man to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , informing him: 'So-and-so came to us and said: 'Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ has commanded me to judge in your affairs as I wish. If it is your command, we hear and obey, and if it is other than that, then we prefer to inform you.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry and sent a man from the Ansar (Helpers) saying, 'Go to so-and-so and kill him and burn him with fire.' He was brought and burned with fire after being dug out of his grave. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever intentionally lies about me, let him find his seat in the Fire.'" He then turned to me and said, "Do you think that I would lie about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after this?"

انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ أَبِي إِلَى صِهْرٍ لَنَا مِنْ أَسْلَمَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ أَرِحْنَا بِهَا يَا بِلَالُ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ أَسَمِعْتَ ذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَغَضِبَ وَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ يُحَدِّثُهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا إِلَى حَيٍّ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ فَلَمَّا أَتَاهُمْ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْكُمَ فِي نِسَائِكُمْ بِمَا شِئْتُ فَقَالُوا سَمْعًا وَطَاعَةً لِأَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَعَثُوا رَجُلًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا إِنَّ فُلَانًا جَاءَنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَحْكُمَ فِي نِسَائِكُمْ بِمَا شِئْتُ فَإِنْ كَانَ أَمْرَكَ فَسَمْعًا وَطَاعَةً وَإِنْ كَانَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَأَحْبَبْنَا أَنْ نُعْلِمَكَ فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَبَعَثَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ وَقَالَ «اذْهَبْ إِلَى فُلَانٍ فَاقْتُلْهُ وأَحْرِقْهُ بِالنَّارِ» فَانْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ وَقَدْ مَاتَ وَقُبِرَ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَنُبِشَ ثُمَّ أَحَرَقَهُ بِالنَّارِ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ» ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ تَرَانِي كَذَبْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ هَذَا؟

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ said: 'The message is the provision and the journey.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْبَلَاغُ الزَّادُ وَالرَّاحِلَةُ

رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تُقْبَلُ صَلَاةُ حَائِضٍ إِلَّا بِخِمَارٍ

"الْبَلاغُ الزَّادُ وَالرَّاحَلِة".

" الزَّادُ وَالرَّاحِلَةُ".

"قُمْ يَا بِلالُ فَأَرِحْنَا بِالصَّلاةِ".

"لا تُقْبَلُ صلاةُ الحائِضِ إلا بِخِمار (*) ".

"لَا صَلَاةَ لِحَائِضٍ إِلاَّ بِخِمَارٍ".

"لا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ - ﷻ - صَلاةَ حائِضٍ إِلا بِخِمَارٍ".

"يَا بِلَالُ! أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ؛ أَرِحْنَا بِهَا".

"يَا بِلَالُ! قُمْ فَنَادِ بِالصَّلَاةِ".

"عَن عمر قال: لا تقبلُ صلاةٌ إلا بِطُهُورٍ".
