[Machine] I asked Hasan ibn Ali: "What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said: "I remember from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that I took a date from the charity dates and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it out with his saliva and put it back with the dates. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, what made you pick up this date for this young child? He said: Indeed, we, the family of Muhammad, are not allowed to take charity. He said: And he used to say: Leave what makes you doubt for what does not make you doubt, for truthfulness brings tranquility and lying brings doubt. He said: And he used to teach us this supplication: O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, and heal me among those whom You have healed, and take care of me among those whom You have taken care of, and bless what You have given me, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. Indeed, You decree and no one can decree over You, and whoever You support is not humiliated. Shu`ba said: And I think he (Hasan) also said: Blessed are You, our Lord, and exalted."

[Machine] Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him):

I said to Al-Hasan ibn Ali, "What do you remember from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He said, "I remember that I took a date from the dates of charity and put it in my mouth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took it out with his saliva and then put it back into the dates. A man said to him, 'Why don't you eat this date?' He replied, 'Verily, we do not eat charity.' He (the man) said, 'He used to teach us this supplication: O Allah, guide me among those You have guided, grant me well-being among those You have granted well-being, take charge of me among those You have taken charge of, bless for me in what You have given me, and protect me from the evil of what You have decreed. Indeed, the one whom You take as a guardian is never humiliated. And sometimes he used to say, 'You are blessed, our Lord, and exalted.'"

[Machine] Tell me something you have memorized from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that no one has told you about. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Leave what gives you doubt for what does not give you doubt.' He said, 'Goodness brings tranquility, while evil brings doubt.' The Prophet ﷺ was once given a piece of date as charity, so I took a date and threw it in my mouth, then he took it back from my saliva and put it back with the dates. It was said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, why did you take back this date from this child?' He said, 'Indeed, we, the family of Muhammad, are not allowed to take charity.' I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicating with this prayer, 'O Allah, guide us among those whom You have guided, and grant us well-being among those whom You have granted well-being, and take us as Your guardians among those whom You have taken as Your guardians, and bless us in what You have given us, and protect us from the evil that You have decreed, for You do decree and none can decree upon You. And I understood from him the five daily prayers and certain words that I should recite after completing them." He said, "Say: 'O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, pardon me among those whom You have pardoned, turn to me in friendship among those whom You have turned to, bless me in what You have given me, and protect me from the evil that You have decreed. Surely, You decree and no one can decree over You. Indeed, the one who is supported by You is never humiliated. Blessed are You, our Lord, and exalted are You.'" And I understood from him that I passed by him one day and there was a container of dates for charity in front of him. I took a date and threw it in my mouth, then he grabbed my wrist and put his hand in my mouth and pulled it out with his saliva on it, then he threw it in the container. His companions said to him, 'If you had left it, the boy would have eaten it?' He said, 'Charity is not permissible for the family of Muhammad.' He also taught me words to say in my final supplication, 'O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, and take me under Your care among those whom You have taken under Your care, and bestow Your blessings upon me in what You have given me, and protect me from the evil that You have decreed, for surely You decree and none can decree over You.
