31.14 Someone who seeks refuge in Allah from laziness

٣١۔١٤ بَابُ مَنْ تَعَوَّذَ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ

'Amr ibn Shu'ayb reported that his grandfather said, "I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'O Allah, I seek refuge with You from laziness and debt. I seek refuge with You from the trial of the Dajjal. I seek refuge with You from the punishment of the Fire.'"  

الأدب المفرد:٦٥٦حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to seek refuge with Allah from the evils of life and death and the punishment of the grave and the evil of the Dajjal."

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَعَوَّذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَشَرِّ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ
