"The Prophet would perform Wudu with a Mudd, and he would perform Ghusl with a Sa."  

الترمذي:٥٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَيْحَانَةَ عَنْ سَفِينَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ سَفِينَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو رَيْحَانَةَ اسْمُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَطَرٍ وَهَكَذَا رَأَى بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ الْوُضُوءَ بِالْمُدِّ وَالْغُسْلَ بِالصَّاعِ وَقَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ لَيْسَ مَعْنَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَلَى التَّوْقِيتِ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَجُوزُ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُ وَلاَ أَقَلُّ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ قَدْرُ مَا يَكْفِي

The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution with a Mudd (of water) and bath with a Sa'.  

ابن ماجة:٢٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ وَيَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ  

ahmad:26393 – Ḥasan b. Mūsá > Shaybān > Qatādah > Iālḥasan from his mother

[Machine] Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ , said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform ritual purification (ghusl) with one sa' (a unit of volume) of water, and perform ablution (wudu) with one mudd (another unit of volume) of water."  

أحمد:٢٦٣٩٣ – حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِالْحَسَنِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَغْتَسِلُ بِالصَّاعِ مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمُدِّ
