[Machine] A man entered the mosque and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting, so he prayed. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded him to repeat his prayer two or three times. The man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, why do I have to repeat my prayer two or three times?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer of none of the people is complete until he performs ablution, placing the ablution in its proper places, then he says 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest), then praises Allah the Almighty and glorifies Him, then recites whatever is easy for him from the Qur'an, then he says 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) until he feels relaxation in his joints, then he says 'Samia Allahu liman hamidah' (Allah hears whoever praises Him), until he is standing straight, then he says 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Greatest) and prostrates until he feels relaxation in his joints, then he raises his head until he is sitting straight, then he prostrates again until he feels relaxation in his joints. If he does not do this, his prayer is not complete."

A man entered the mosque...... He then narrated the tradition like the one narrated in (No.855). This version is as follows: The Prophet ﷺ said: The prayer of anyone is not perfect unless he performs ablution perfectly; he should then utter the takbir, and praise Allah, the Exalted, and admire Him; he should then recite the Qur'an as much as he desires. He should then say: "Allah is Most Great". Next he should bow so that all his joints return to their proper places. Then he should say: "Allah listens to the one who praises Him", and stand erect. He should then say:"Allah is most great," and should prostrate himself so that all his joints are completely at rest. Then he should say: "Allah is most great"; he should raise his head (at the end of prostration) till he sits erect. Then he should say: "Allah is most great"; then he should prostrate himself till all his joints return to their proper places. Then he should raise his head and say the takbir. When he does so, then his prayer is completed.

[Machine] He was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when a man came and entered the mosque and prayed. When he finished his prayer, he greeted the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Go back and pray, as you have not prayed." He mentioned this either twice or three times. The man said, "I do not know what you mean by not praying properly." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The prayer of none of you is complete until he performs ablution as Allah the Almighty has commanded. He washes his face and hands up to the elbows, wipes his head and feet up to the ankles. Then he says the takbeer, praises and glorifies Allah, recites from the Qur'an what Allah has permitted him, then he says the takbeer, bows and places his hands on his knees until his joints are still. Then he stands straight, saying, 'Allah hears whoever praises Him.' He stands straight until every bone returns to its place. Then he performs prostration and places his forehead on the ground until his joints are still. He stands straight, saying the takbeer, raises his head and sits straight on his sitting position while keeping his back straight. He establishes his prayer in this manner until he is finished. Then he said, 'None of your prayers are complete until you do this.'"

A man entered the mosque while Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in one side of the mosque. The man prayed, came, and greeted the Prophet. Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Wa 'Alaikas Salam (returned his greeting). Go back and pray as you have not prayed (properly)." The man returned, repeated his prayer, came back and greeted the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Wa alaika-s-Salam (returned his greeting). Go back and pray again as you have not prayed (properly)." The man said at the second or third time, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Kindly teach me how to pray". The Prophet ﷺ said, "When you stand for prayer, perform ablution properly and then face the Qibla and say Takbir (Allahu-Akbar), and then recite what you know from the Qur'an, and then bow with calmness till you feel at ease then rise from bowing, till you stand straight, and then prostrate calmly (and remain in prostration) till you feel at ease, and then raise (your head) and sit with calmness till you feel at ease and then prostrate with calmness (and remain in prostration) till you feel at ease, and then raise (your head) and sit with calmness till you feel at ease in the sitting position, and do likewise in whole of your prayer." And Abu Usama added, "Till you stand straight." (See Hadith No. 759, Vol.1) (Using translation from Bukhārī 6251)
