[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me a thick Coptic garment that he received as a gift from Dahyah Al-Kalbi. I gave it to my wife to wear, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me, "Why didn't you wear the Coptic garment?" I replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I gave it to my wife to wear." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said to me, "Tell her to put something under it, for I fear that it may describe the size of her bones."

كَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُبْطِيَّةً كَثِيفَةً كَانَتْ مِمَّا أَهْدَاهَا دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ فَكَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا لَكَ لَمْ تَلْبَسِ الْقُبْطِيَّةَ؟ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُرْهَا فَلْتَجْعَلْ تَحْتَهَا غِلَالَةً إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَصِفَ حَجْمَ عِظَامِهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ covered me with a thick garment that was gifted to him by Dahiya Al-Kalbi. I then wore it and my wife said to him, "Why don't you wear the garment?" So I told her, "I am wearing it." The Prophet ﷺ then said to her, "Show it to me." So she lifted it, and there was a goat under it, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "Leave it. Put something under it, for I fear that it would harm her bones."

كَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُبْطِيَّةً كَثِيفَةً مِمَّا أَهْدَاهَا لَهُ دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ فَكَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ مَا لَكَ لَمْ تَلْبَسِ الْقُبْطِيَّةَ قُلْتُ كَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ مُرْهَا فَلْتَجْعَلْ تَحْتَهَا غِلَالَةً فَإِنِّيأَخَافُ أَنْ تَصِفَ عِظَامَهَا

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ gave me a thick Coptic garment as a gift that he received from Dahyah al-Kalbi. I then gave it to my wife to wear. The Prophet ﷺ asked me, "Why don't you wear the Coptic garment?" I replied, "I gave it to my wife to wear." He said, "Tell her to put underneath it a garment, for I fear that it may describe her bones."

كَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قُبْطِيَّةً كَثِيفَةً أَهْدَاهَا لَهُ دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ فَكَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَا لَكَ لَا تَلْبَسُ الْقُبْطِيَّةَ؟ قُلْتُ كَسَوْتُهَا امْرَأَتِي فَقَالَ مُرْهَا فَلْتَجْعَلْ تَحْتَهَا غِلَالَةً فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَصِفَ عِظَامَهَا

"عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْن زَيْدٍ قَالَ: كَسانِى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ قُبْطِيَّةً كَتيفَةً ممَّا أَهدَى دحْيَةُ الْكَلبى فَكَسَوْتُها امْرَأَتى، فَقالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ مَالَكَ (لاَ) () تَلبِسُ الْقُبْطِيَّةَ؟ قُلتُ: يَا رَسُولَ الله إِنِّى كَسَوْتُها امْرَأَتى، قالَ: فَأمُرْها فَلتَجْعَلْ تَحْتَها (غِلاَلَةً) ( *) فَإِنِّى أَخْتَشِى أَنْ تَصِفَ عِظَامَهَا".
