[Machine] I was with a man from the tribe of Makhzoom, and he divorced me impulsively. I then sent a message to his family asking for maintenance, but they said that they were not responsible for my maintenance. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They do not have to provide for you, and you must observe the waiting period of 'iddah (for divorce). Go to the mother of Shareek, and do not deny us your presence." He then said, "Indeed, Shareek's mother receives visits from her brothers among the earliest emigrants, but go to the son of Umm Maktoom, for he has lost his sight and even if you put something down, he will not see it."

[Machine] "I was with a man from the tribe of Makhzun, and he divorced me instantly. So, I sent to his family seeking maintenance, but they said I was not entitled to any maintenance from them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They are not obligated to provide for you, and you are to observe the waiting period. Go to the house of Umm Sharik and do not make any decisions without consulting me". Then, he said, "Indeed, the brothers of Umm Sharik, from the early emigrants, will visit her. Go to the son of Umm Maktoom, for he is a man who has lost his sight. If you remove any of your clothes, he will not see anything." She said, "When I came out of my iddah (waiting period), Muawiyah and Abu Jahl bin Houthaifa proposed to me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "As for Muawiyah, he is without wealth. And as for Abu Jahl, he is a man who never removes his cane from his shoulder. Where are you in regards to Osama bin Zaid?" It seemed like her family disliked it, so she said, "I will not marry anyone except the one to whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me." So, she married him."

[Machine] A man from the tribe of Makhzum divorced his wife on the spot. She then sent word to her family seeking financial support, but they refused to provide for her. So she went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him of her situation. He told her that her family was not obligated to support her, but she must observe the waiting period. He advised her to go to Umm Sharik, who was a woman frequented by her brothers from the early Muslim migrants. She then should go to the son of Umm Maktoom, who was a blind man. If she were to undress in front of him, he would not see anything. The Prophet ﷺ added, "Do not put us in a difficult position." She replied, "When I am free of my obligations, men will want to propose to me." The Prophet then asked, "And what about Osama?" She did not like that suggestion and said, "I will only marry the one you mentioned." So she got married. Muhammad bin Amr narrated from Muhammad bin Ibrahim that Aisha used to advise Fatimah, saying, "Fear Allah, for I know what led to this."
