[Machine] that Fatimah b. Abu Hubaysh said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have irregular bleeding, shall I abandon the prayer?" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her: "That is only from a vein and it is not menstruation. When the menstruation begins, then abandon the prayer, and when it ends, wash off the blood and pray."

ذِكْرُ الْأَمْرِ بِتَرْكِ الصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَ إِقْبَالِ الْحَيْضَةِ، وَالِاغْتِسَالِ عِنْدَ إِدْبَارِهَا

ibnhibban:1350 – al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥubāb al-Jumaḥī > al-Qaʿnabī > Mālik > Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father > ʿĀʾishah

"Fatimah bint Abi Hubaish said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I do not become pure. Should I stop praying? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'That is a vein and is not menstruation. When your period comes, stop praying, and when the same amount of time as your regular period has passed, then wash the blood from yourself and pray.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 218)

ابن حبّان:١٣٥٠ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ قَالَ

[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated that Malik said, "Bakr ibn Sahl narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Yusuf, from me, Malik, that Ali ibn Al-Mubarak Al-San'aani narrated to us, from Ismail ibn Abi Uways, who narrated to me from Malik, from Hisham ibn Urwah, from his father, from Umar ibn Abi Salamah, that he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying in a single garment, in the house of Umm Salamah, with his arms resting on his shoulders."

Fatimah daughter of Abu Hubaish came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I am a woman who has prolonged flow of blood; I am never purified ; should I abandon prayer ? He replied: This is (due to) a vein, and not menstruation. When the menstruation begins, you should abandon prayer ; when it is finished, you should wash away the blood and pray. البيهقي:٤٠٨٤ – أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو نَصْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَقِيهُ الشِّيرَازِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْفَرَّاءُ أنبأ مُحَاضِرُ بْنُ الْمُرَوِّعِ ثنا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ؟ قَالَ لَا إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي أَخْرَجَاهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ

البيهقي:١٥٤٨ – أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
