[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The lean one is the sound of birds and tracks and the footsteps are the marks on the ground." Awf said, "Lean one is the noise of birds, and tracks are the lines on the ground."  

الطبراني:١٦٠٩٥حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثَنَا عَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَوْفٍ حَدَّثَنِي حَيَّانُ عَنْ قَطَنِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْعِيَافَةُ وَالطَّرْقُ وَالطِّيَرَةُ مِنَ الْجِبْتِ» قَالَ عَوْفٌ الْعِيَافَةُ زَجْرُ الطَّيْرِ وَالطَّرْقُ الْخَطُّ فِي الْأَرْضِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Augury from the flight of birds, taking evil omens and the practice of pressomancy pertain to divination. Tarq: It is used in the sense of divination in which women threw stones. 'Iyafah: It means geomancy by drawing lines.  

أبو داود:٣٩٠٧حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَيَّانُ قَالَ غَيْرُ مُسَدَّدٍ حَيَّانُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا قَطَنُ بْنُ قَبِيصَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْعِيَافَةُ وَالطِّيَرَةُ وَالطَّرْقُ مِنَ الْجِبْتِ الطَّرْقُ الزَّجْرُ وَالْعِيَافَةُ الْخَطُّ

On the authority of 'Awf: 'Iyafah means to makes the birds fly by threatening them. Tarq means lines drawn on the earth.

عَوْفٌ الْعِيَافَةُ زَجْرُ الطَّيْرِ وَالطَّرْقُ الْخَطُّ يُخَطُّ فِي الأَرْضِ

[Machine] "He (the narrator) heard the Prophet ﷺ mentioning 'Al-'iyafa' and 'At-Tiyara' and 'At-Tarq' from gypsum. He said, 'Al-'iyafa' is from the sound of sneezing, and 'At-Tarq' is from writing."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ الْعِيَافَةُ وَالطِّيَرَةُ وَالطَّرْقُ مِنَ الْجِبْتِ قَالَ الْعِيَافَةُ مِنَ الزَّجْرِ وَالطَّرْقُ مِنَ الْخَطِّ

[Machine] He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Verily, 'al-'iyafa', 'at-tarq', and 'at-tiyara' are from 'al-jibt'." He said, "Al-'iyafa' is the screeching of birds, 'at-tarq' is drawing lines on the ground, and 'al-jibt' is Satan."
