[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The example of one who does evil deeds and then does good deeds is like a man wearing a tight-fitting coat which is choking him. Whenever he does a good deed, a link in it unravels until he reaches the earth (i.e., he is choked to death)."  

الطبراني:١٤٩١٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَيُّوبَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مَرْثَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مثَلُ الَّذِي يَعْمَلُ السَّيِّئَاتِ ثُمَّ يَعْمَلُ الْحَسَنَاتِ كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ عَلَيْهِ دِرْعٌ ضَيِّقَةٌ قَدْ خَنَقَتْهُ فَكُلَّمَا عَمِلَ حَسَنَةً انْتَقَضَ حَلْقَةً ثُمَّ أُخْرَى حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ»
