[Machine] I bought myself and my brother one hundred arrows from the arrows of Khaybar. Then the Prophet ﷺ was informed about it, and he said, "O Asim, two wild wolves have attacked a flock of sheep, and their owner has lost it due to the excessive love of wealth and honor for his religion."  

الطبراني:١٤٥٨٨ – حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ الْحَدَثِيُّ ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ البَلْويِّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْبَدَّاحِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ

اشْتَرَيْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ مِنْ سِهَامِ خَيْبَرَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا عَاصِمُ مَا ذِئْبَانِ عَادِيَانِ أَصَابَا غَنَمًا أضَاعَهَا رَبُّهَا بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ حُبِّ الْمَرْءِ الْمَالَ وَالشَّرَفَ لِدِينِهِ»

[Machine] I and my brother bought a hundred arrows from the arrows of Hunayn. The Prophet ﷺ was informed about this and he said, "O Asim, what are two corrupt wolves after they have taken prey that their owner has lost due to the corruption found in it from the love of wealth and honor in his eyes?" This Hadith is famous from Asim, narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . It is the one that Al-Dhahabi remained silent about in his summary.

" يَا عَاصِمُ: مَاذِئْبَانِ عَادِيَانِ أَصَابَا فَرِيسَةَ غَنَمٍ أَضَاعَهَا رَبُّهَا بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ حُبِّ الْمَرْءِ الْمَالَ والشَّرَفَ لِدِينِهِ ".
