The Prophet's ﷺ dua after the incident of Taif
[Machine] When Abu Talib died, the Prophet ﷺ went to Ta'if walking on his own feet. He invited them to Islam, but they did not respond. So he left and came to the shade of a tree, prayed two rak'ahs, and then said: "O Allah, to You alone I complain of my weakness, lack of resourcefulness, and being lowly in the sight of people. O Most Merciful of the merciful ones, You are the Lord of the oppressed, and You are my Lord. To whom do You leave me? To a distant person who will treat me with hostility, or to an enemy to whom You have given power over me? If You do not hold me to account, then I care not, but Your favor is more expansive for me. I seek refuge in the light of Your face by which darknesses are illuminated and in which the affairs of this world and the Hereafter are set right, lest Your anger descend upon me or Your wrath befall me. It is for You to be satisfied until You are pleased. There is no power and no might except by You."
