51. Chapter of Lām (Female)
[Machine] Where are you, O Umm Abdullah? So I said, you have caused harm to us in our religion, so we will go in the land of Allah where we are not harmed in the worship of Allah. He said, may Allah be with you, and then he left. Then my husband, Amr bin Rabee'ah, came to me and I informed him of what I had seen of the tenderness of Umar. So he said, do you hope that he will embrace Islam? So I said, yes. He said, by Allah, he will not embrace Islam until the donkey of Al-Khattab embraces it.
[Machine] LubaySA and her sister, the daughters of Ka'b ibn Amr ibn Awf, witnessed the incident at Al-Aqaba. LubaySA was the mother of Umamah, whose son was Musaylimah.
[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her and she invited him to food, so he invited her to eat with him. She said, "Indeed, I am fasting." He said, "Verily, when a fasting person eats in his house, the angels invoke blessings upon him until they have finished eating and drinking."
[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ entered upon me, so I brought him fruits or food. Some people left and he did not eat. The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Why did they leave?" I said, "They are fasting." He said, "No fasting person should eat in the presence of people who are breaking their fast, lest the angels send prayers upon them until evening."
that she came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "I do not see but that everything is for the men, and I do not see anything being mentioned for the women." So this Ayah was revealed: 'Indeed the Muslim men and the Muslim women, the believing men and the believing women... (33:35)' (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3211)
أَنَّهَا أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ مَا أَرَى كُلَّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا لِلرِّجَالِ مَا أَرَى النِّسَاءَ يُذْكَرْنَ بِشَيْءٍ فَنَزَلَتْ {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ}
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ came to a woman called Ummu Amarah and she said, "O Messenger of Allah, the Quran is only revealed to men." So Allah revealed this verse, "Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women..."
أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ امْرَأَةٌ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ عُمَارَةَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا يَنْزِلُ الْقُرْآنُ إِلَّا فِي الرِّجَالِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ {إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ}
