43. Chapter of Sīn (Female)
[Machine] The son of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought in, and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Whenever my sister and I would wake up, we were forbidden from yelling. Al-Fadl ibn al-Abbas poured water for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to wash. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Al-Abbas, and I sat on a bed. Then the bed was carried and I saw him sitting on the edge of the grave with Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib beside him. Al-Fadl ibn Abbas descended into his grave, as did Usama ibn Zaid and I. I shouted by the grave, but no one advised me against it. The sun was eclipsed on that day, so the people said it was due to the death of Ibrahim. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun does not eclipse due to the death or birth of anyone." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then saw some curdling in the milk and ordered it to be covered. He said, "Indeed, when a servant performs an act, Allah loves for it to be done perfectly." He passed away on a Tuesday in the middle of Rabi' al-Awwal, in the tenth year [of the Islamic calendar].
[Machine] Sarra bint Nabhan, who was a housewife during the pre-Islamic era, narrated to me that she heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say during his farewell pilgrimage, "Do you know what day this is?" She replied, "It is the day you call the Day of Heads." They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is the middle of the days of Tashriq (the days following Eid al-Adha)." He then asked, "Do you know which land this is?" They replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "This is the Holy Sanctuary." Then he said, "I do not know whether I will meet with you after this. Surely, your blood, your wealth, and your honor are sacred to you, just as sacred as this day of yours, in this land of yours, until you meet your Lord and He asks you about your deeds. So let the one who is present convey this message to the one who is absent. Have I conveyed the message?" And when he arrived in Madinah, he didn't live long before he passed away.
[Machine] The neighborhood dug in the house of dogs and found a normal treasure. The dogs said, "This is our house," and the neighborhood said, "We dug, so it belongs to us." They took the matter to the Prophet ﷺ , who ruled in favor of the neighborhood and took a fifth of the treasure from them. We bought our share of it with a hundred sheep and brought them to the neighborhood. The neighborhood wanted the believer to believe us, but we refused and went to the Prophet ﷺ about it. He said, "If you mixed it with something else, then it is not yours. Otherwise, there is nothing upon you in this year." He also said, "When the believer leaves his people while being pleased with them, and when he visits them while being angry, Allah will be angry with them."
