"عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: سَمعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ: قَرَأ الْقُرآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِىّ ﷺ مُعَاذٌ، وأبَى، وَسْعدٌ، وَأبُو زَيْدٍ، قُلتُ: مَنْ أبُو زَيْدٍ؟ قَالَ: أحَدُ عُمُومَتِى".
Anas said, "The Qur'an was collected in the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ by four (men), all of whom were from the Ansar: Ubai, Muʿadh bin Jabal, Abu Zaid and Zaid bin Thabit." I asked Anas, "Who is Abu Zaid?" He said, "One of my uncles."
جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَرْبَعَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ أُبَىٌّ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ مَنْ أَبُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ أَحَدُ عُمُومَتِي
Four persons collected the Qur'an during the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and all of them were Ansar: Mu'adh b. Jabal, Ubayy b. Ka'b, Zaid b. Thabit, Abu Zaid. Qatada said: Anas, who was Abu Zaid? He said: He was one of my uncles.

that Anas bin Malik said: "Four gathered the Qur'an during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, all of them are from the Ansar: Ubayy bin Ka'b, Mu'adh bin Jabal, Zaid bin Thabit, and Abu Zaid." I said to Anas: "Who is Abu Zaid?" He said: "One of my uncles."
