"عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: أهْدَى أَكَيْدِرُ دَوْمَةَ إِلى رَسُولِ الله ﷺ جُبَّةً، فَتَعجَّبَ النَّاسُ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِى الجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا".

A Jubba (i.e. cloak) made of thick silken cloth was presented to the Prophet. The Prophet ﷺ used to forbid people to wear silk. So, the people were pleased to see it. The Prophet ﷺ said, "By Him in Whose Hands Muhammad's soul is, the handkerchiefs of Saʿd bin Muʿadh in Paradise are better than this." Anas added, "The present was sent to the Prophet ﷺ by Ukaidir (a Christian) from Dauma."
أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ جُبَّةُ سُنْدُسٍ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا وَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ إِنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
A silken cloak was presented to the Prophet ﷺ and he used to forbid the usage of silk (by men). When the people were fascinated by the cloak. he said, "By Allah in Whose Hands the life of Muhammad is, the handkerchiefs of Saʿd bin Muʿadh in Paradise are better than this."
أُهْدِيَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ جُبَّةُ سُنْدُسٍ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا
Messenger of Allah ﷺ was given a silken garment, and its beauty and delicacy astonished the people. On that, Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No doubt, the handkerchiefs of Saʿd bin Muʿadh in Paradise are better than this."
أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِثَوْبٍ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلُوا يَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ حُسْنِهِ وَلِينِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ هَذَا
By Him in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the kerchiefs of Sa'd b. Mu'adh in Paradise are better than this.
أَنَّهُ أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ جُبَّةٌ مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ مَنَادِيلَ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْ هَذَا
[AI] Ukaydir gave a gift of a beautiful robe to the Prophet, ﷺ . People marvelled at its beauty, and he said, "The handkerchief of Saad in Paradise is better or more beautiful than it."
أَهْدَى أُكَيْدِرُ دُومَةَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَعْنِي حُلَّةً فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا فَقَالَ لَمِنْدِيلُ سَعْدٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ خَيْرٌ أَوْ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا
[AI] "That once Uqaydirah presented a silk cloak or robe to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , Sa'id doubted its quality before he forbade the use of silk. So the Prophet ﷺ wore it, and people admired it. He said, 'By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in Paradise are even better than it.'"
أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جُبَّةَ سُنْدُسٍ أَوْ دِيبَاجٍ شَكَّ فِيهِ سَعِيدٌ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْهَى عَنِالْحَرِيرِ فَلَبِسَهَا فَتَعَجَّبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ لُبْسَ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ الْجُبَّةَ الْمَنْسُوجَةَ بِالذَّهَبِ كَانَ ذَلِكَ قَبْلَ تَحْرِيمِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا لُبْسَهَا عَلَى الرِّجَالِ مِنْ أُمَّتِهِ
[AI] "That Umayr bin Adam presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ a velvet cloak, and he wore it before silk was prohibited. The people were amazed by its beauty, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The handkerchiefs of Sa'd bin Mu'adh are better than it in Paradise.'"
أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ جُبَّةَ سُنْدُسٍ فَلَبِسَهَا وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحَرَّمَ الْحَرِيرُ فَتَعَجَّبَ النَّاسُ مِنْ حُسْنِهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ»
[AI] That Uqaydira Duma presented a silk robe to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wore it. The people admired it, so he said, "Do you admire this? By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the handkerchiefs of Sa'd ibn Mu'adh in paradise are better than it." And he gave it to 'Umar, and 'Umar said, "O Messenger of Allah, you dislike it and yet you give it to me?" He said, "O 'Umar, I only sent it to you so that you may use it as a shroud and with it cover a face that will be struck with it, and that is before he forbade silk."
أَنَّ أُكَيْدِرَ دُومَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ جُبَّةَ سُنْدُسٍ فَلَبِسَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ «أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ هَذِهِ؟ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهَا» وَأَهْدَاهَا إِلَى عُمَرَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تَكْرَهُهَا وَأَلْبَسُهَا قَالَ «يَا عُمَرُ إِنِّي إِنَّمَا أَرْسَلْتُ بِهَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَبْعَثَ بِهَا وَجْهًا تُصِيبُ بِهَا وَذَلِكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَنْهَى عَنِ الْحَرِيرِ»
"والَّذِي نَفسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لمَنادِيلُ سعد بنِ مُعَاذٍ في الجَنَّةِ أحسنُ مِنْ هَذا".
