[AI] "Where do you want to go, Abu Abdullah?" He said, "I want to go to Abu Said al-Khudri." So I went with him. Then Ibn Umar said, "O Abu Said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the consumption of sacrificial meat after three days. So eat and save some, for Allah has provided abundance. And I heard him forbidding certain drinks and throwing them away, so drink and know that every intoxicant is forbidden. And I heard him forbidding the visitation of graves, so if you visit them, do not say words of paganism."

لَهُ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ؟ قَالَ أَرَدْتُ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَنْهَى عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ وَعَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ وَعَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَقَدْ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ مُحَدِّثٌ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي ذَلِكَ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ سَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ إِنِّي نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ أَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَ اللهُ بِالسَّعَةِ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ أَوِ الْأَنْبِذَةِ فَاشْرَبُوا وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَإِنْ زُرْتُمُوهَا فَلَا تَقُولُوا هُجْرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "I have forbidden you from three things: visiting graves, keeping the meat of sacrificed animals for more than three days, and using vessels made of animal skins. I have also forbidden you from eating the meat of sacrificed animals in order to provide for those who cannot afford it. So, eat and preserve the meat. Additionally, I have forbidden you from visiting graves, except for the grave of my mother, for whom I have been granted permission to visit. I have also forbidden you from using pottery vessels. Indeed, pots do not make anything permissible or impermissible. Every intoxicant is forbidden."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ أَنْ تُحْبَسَ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعَنِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ لِيُوسِعْ ذُو السَّعَةِ عَلَى مَنْ لَا سَعَةَ لَهُ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا قَدْ أُذِنَ لَهُ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ أُمِّهِ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الظُّرُوفِ وَإِنَّ الظُّرُوفَ لَا تُحَرِّمُ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُحِلُّهُ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I used to prohibit you from visiting graves, eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, and drinking from vessels made of clay. But now visit graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter and make you abstain from worldly desires. Eat the meat of sacrificial animals and keep what you wish, for I only advised against it because it was difficult for people. Indeed, every intoxicant is prohibited."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَأَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِي فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعَنْ نَبِيذِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ أَلَا فَزُورُوا الْقُبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُزَهِّدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَتُذَكِّرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَكُلُوا لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِي وَابْقُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ إِذِ الْخَيْرُ قَلِيلٌ تَوْسِعَةً عَلَى النَّاسِ أَلَا إِنَّ وِعَاءً لَا يُحَرِّمُ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّ كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I prohibited you from three things - visiting graves, keeping the meat of sacrifices for more than three days, and using containers except for drinking purposes. However, visiting the grave of my mother was permitted for me. I only prohibited you from keeping the meat of sacrifices for more than three days to facilitate the act for those who did not offer sacrifices. And I prohibited you from using containers except for drinking purposes, as no container is lawful or prohibited."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنِّي نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِي أَنْ تُمْسِكُوهَا فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ وَعَنِ الظُّرُوفِ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ فِي سِقَاءٍ وَقَدْ رُخِّصَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ أُمِّهِ وَإِنَّمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ أَنْ تُمْسِكُوا لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِي فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ لِيُوَسِّعَ ذُو السَّعَةِ مِنْكُمْ عَلَى مَنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الظُّرُوفِ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ سِقَاءٍ فَلَا يُحِلُّ ظَرْفٌ شَيْئًا وَلَا يُحَرِّمُهُ»

عَنِ النَّبِيّ ﷺ قَالَ كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَقَدْ أُذِنَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ أُمِّهِ فَزُورُوهَا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُ الآخِرَةَ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الأَضَاحِي أَنْ تَأْكُلُوهَا فَوْقَ ثَلاثٍ وَإنَّما أَرَدْنَا بِذَلِكَ أَنْ يَتَّسِعَ أَهْلُ السَّعَةِ عَلَى مَنْ لا سِعَةَ لَهُ فَكُلُوا مِمَّا بَدَا لَكُمْ وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الظُّرُوفِ وَإِنَّ الظُّرُوفَ لا تُحِلُّ شَيْئًا ولاَ تُحَرِّمُهُ وكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ

[AI] "On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ who said, 'Verily, I have forbidden you from the wine made from dates and grains, and I used to forbid you from visiting graves, and I used to forbid you from sacrificing animals. Behold! The vessels do not make anything permissible or impermissible. And visit the graves, for indeed it softens the heart.' Abdan added to his narration, 'Behold! I have forbidden you from consuming the meat of the sacrificial animals, so eat and preserve what you desire.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنِّي نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ وَإِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَإِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ؛ أَلَا وَإِنَّ الْأَوْعِيَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُحَرِّمُهُ أَلَا وَزُورُوا الْقُبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُرِقُّ الْقُلُوبَ» زَادَ عَبْدَانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ «أَلَا وَإِنِّي نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَكُلُوا وَادَّخِرُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, I had forbidden you from visiting graves, eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, and drinking from vessels made of wine. But now, visit the graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter and detach you from the worldly life. Eat the meat of sacrificial animals and keep what you wish, for I had only forbidden you from it because good was scarce, but Allah has made it plentiful for the people. Indeed, there is no vessel that renders anything forbidden, and indeed, every intoxicant is prohibited."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ وَأَكْلِ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعَنْ نَبِيذِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ أَلَا فَزُورُوا الْقُبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُزَهِّدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَتُذَكِّرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَكُلُوا لُحُومَ الْأَضَاحِيِّ وَابْقُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَإِنَّمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ إِذِ الْخَيْرُ قَلِيلٌ فَوَسَّعَهُ اللهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ أَلَا إِنَّ وِعَاءً لَا يُحَرِّمُ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّ كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I used to forbid you from visiting graves, but now permission has been granted for me to visit the grave of my mother, so visit it, as it reminds you of the Hereafter. I used to forbid you from consuming meat from sacrificial animals that are three years old or older, in order to accommodate those who are unable to afford such animals. So eat whatever appears to you and feed others, and store some for later. And I used to forbid you from selling fruits on trees until they are ripe, although there is no prohibition on this. And every intoxicant is forbidden." This is the wording of the hadith of Abu Asim.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ فَقَدْ أُذِنَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ أُمِّهِ فَزُورُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا تُذَّكِرُ الْآخِرَةَ وَكُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ؛ لِيَتَّسِعَ ذُو الطَّوْلِ عَلَى مَنْ لَا طَوْلَ لَهُ فَكُلُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ وَأَطْعِمُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَنَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنِ الظُّرُوفِ وَإِنَّ الظُّرُوفَ لَا تُحَرِّمُ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُحَلِّلُهُ وَكُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ

"إِنِّى كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ الْقُبُورِ، وَأَكْلِ لُحُومِ الأَضاحِى فَوْقَ ثَلَاث، وَعَنْ نَبِيذ الأَوْعِيَةِ، ألا فَزُورُوا الْقْبُورَ فَإِنَّهَا تُزَهِّدُ في الدُّنْيَا وَتُذَكِّرُ الآخِرَة، وَكُلُوا لُحُومَ الأَضَاحِى وَأبَقُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ، فَإنَّمَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْهُ. إِذ الْخَيْرُ قَلِيلٌ، تَوْسِعَةً على النَّاسِ، أَلا إِنَّ وِعَاءً لا يُحَرِّمُ شَيْئًا وَإِنَّ كُلَّ مُّسْكِر حَرَامٌ" .
