إنِّى رأَيتُ في المنامِ أَنَّ سيْفى ذا الفقارِ انْكسر وهى مُصيبَةٌ، ورأَيتُ بقرًا تُذْبحُ وهى مصيبةُ، ورأَيتُ علىَّ درْعى وهى مدينتُكُمْ لا يصلونَ إِلْيها إِنْ شاءَ اللَّه تعالى. قاله يومَ أُحدٍ" .

[Machine] When the Prophet ﷺ stayed in the city of Uhud, Abu Sufyan and his companions said to his companions, "I saw in a dream that my sword, Dhu-l-Fiqar, was broken, and I saw a cow being slaughtered, which is a calamity, and I saw that my shield was in your city, but they cannot reach it, if Allah wills."  

الطبراني:١٢١٠٤حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الْجَعْدِ ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ

لَمَّا نَزَلَ بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ أَحَدٍ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ سَيْفِي ذَا الْفَقَارِ انْكَسَرَ وَرَأَيْتُ بَقَرًا تُذْبَحُ وَهِيَ مُصِيبَةٌ وَرَأَيْتُ عَلَيَّ دِرْعِي وَهِيَ مَدِينَتُكُمْ لَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْهَا إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ»
