عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ؓ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What is wrong with the people, they have finished their Ihram but you have not?" He said, "I matted my hair and I have garlanded my Hadi, so I will not finish my Ihram till I finished my Hajj ."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَحِلَّ مِنَ الْحَجِّ
Hafsa said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What is wrong with the people; they finished their Ihram after performing ʿUmra, but you have not finished it after your ʿUmra?" He replied, "I matted my hair and have garlanded my Hadi. So, I cannot finish my Ihram till I slaughter (my Hadi). "
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
(the wife of the Prophet) I said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Why have the people finished their Ihram after performing the ʿUmra while you have not finished your lhram after your ʿUmra?" He said, "I have done Talbid (of my hair) and have decorated my Hadis with garlands, so I shall not finish my lhram till l have slaughtered my Hadi (animal for sacrifice).
عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ؓ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
Messenger of Allah. what about people who have put off Ihram whereas you have not put it off after your 'Umra? He said: I have stuck my hair and have driven my sacrificial animal, and would not, therefore, put off Ihram until I have sacrificed the animal.
أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ ؓ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
I said to Messenger of Allah ﷺ: What is the matter with people that they have put off Ihram, whereas you have not put it off after your Umra'? He said: I have driven my sacrificial animal and stuck my hair, and it is not permissible for me to put off Ihram unless I have completed the Hajj.
قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي قَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي وَلَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَحِلَّ مِنَ الْحَجِّ
What hinders you that you have not put off Ihram? Thereupon he said: I have stuck my hair and driven my sacrificial animal along with men and it is not permissible to put off Ihram (under this condition until I have sacrificed the animal.
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ أَزْوَاجَهُ أَنْ يَحْلِلْنَ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ قَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَقُلْتُ مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَحِلَّ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ هَدْيِي
Hafsah, wife of the Prophet ﷺ said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ, how is it that the people have put off their ihram and you did not put off your ihram after your ‘Umrah. He said I have matted my hair and garlanded my sacrificial animal, so I shall not put off my ihram till I sacrifice my sacrificial animals.

"O Messenger of Allah, why is it that the people have exited Ihram for Umrah but you have not exited your Ihram for Umrah? He said: "I have matted my hair and garlanded my Hadi, so I will not exit Ihram until I have offered the sacrifice."
عَنْ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ قَدْ حَلُّوا بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is the matter with people who have exited Ihram when you have not exited your Ihram?’ He said: ‘I have applied something to my head to keep my hair together, and I have garlanded my sacrificial animal, so I will not exit Ihram until I have offered my sacrifice.’”
أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ

[AI] She said to the Prophet ﷺ , "Why haven't you performed the pilgrimage?". He replied, "I have only shaved my head and put on my pilgrim garment, so I cannot engage in any permissible activities until I have completed the sacrifice."
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَا لَكَ لَمْ تَحِلَّ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ؟ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَا أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that Hafsa, umm al-muminin, once said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ "Why is it that everyone has left ihram and you still have not left ihram from your umra?" and he replied, "I have matted my hair and garlanded my sacrificial animal and will not leave ihram until I have sacrificed the animal."
أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ
ذِكْرُ السَّبَبِ الَّذِي مِنْ أَجْلِهِ أَمَرَهُمْ ﷺ بِالْإِحْلَالِ وَلَمْ يَحِلَّ هُوَ بِنَفْسِهِ
Hafsa said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! What is wrong with the people; they finished their Ihram after performing ʿUmra, but you have not finished it after your ʿUmra?" He replied, "I matted my hair and have garlanded my Hadi. So, I cannot finish my Ihram till I slaughter (my Hadi). " (Using translation from Bukhārī 1725)

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ قَدْ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تُحِلَّ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ»

[AI] The messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered his wives during the farewell Hajj to get out of their Ihram clothes (after Hajj). Hafsah said, "What prevents you, O Messenger of Allah, from getting out of the state of Ihram?" He said, "I have already completed my Tawaf and put on my regular clothes, so I will not get out of the state of Ihram until I complete my Hajj."
أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نِسَاءَهُ عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ أَنْ يُحْلِلْنَ قَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَمَا يَمْنَعُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنْ تُحِلَّ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أُحِلَّ مِنْ حَجَّتِي»
[AI] When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded his wives to perform Umrah, they said, "So what prevents you, O Messenger of Allah, from joining us?" He said, "I am already in a state of Ihram and cannot leave it until I have performed the sacrifice."
لَمَّا أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نِسَاءَهُ أَنْ يُحْلِلْنَ بِعُمْرَةٍ قُلْنَا فَمَا يَمْنَعُكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنْ تُحِلَّ مَعَنَا؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي قَدْ أَهْدَيْتُ وَلَبَّدْتُ فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ»
[AI] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why have the people performed Hajj and you have not performed it yet?" He replied, "Indeed, I have shaved my head and have assumed Ihram, so I will not leave the state of Ihram until I perform the sacrifice in Mina."
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا وَلَمْ تُحِلَّ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ؟ قَالَ «إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلَا أُحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَهُ بِمِنًى»
[AI] "I have shaved my head and put on my Ihram (pilgrim's garb); therefore, I am not permissible (to engage in certain activities) until I am permissible (after completing the Hajj pilgrimage)."

Hafsah, wife of the Prophet ﷺ said Apostle of Allaah ﷺ, how is it that the people have put off their ihram and you did not put off your ihram after your ‘Umrah.
