"إِنَّه سيكونُ أُمَرَاءُ يُؤخِّرونَ الصَّلاةَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِها، أَلَا فَصَلِّ الصَّلاةَ لوقْتِها، ثمَّ إِيتِهم، فإِنْ كانُوا قدْ صَلَّوا كُنْت قدْ أحْرزْتَ صلَاتكَ وإِلَّا صلَّيْتَ معهُم فكانَتْ لك نافلةَ".

You should say prayer at its prescribed time. If you say prayer at its prescribed time that would be a supererogatory prayer for you, otherwise you saved your prayer.
لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ بَعْدِي أُمَرَاءُ يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلاَةَ فَصَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ صَلَّيْتَ لِوَقْتِهَا كَانَتْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً وَإِلاَّ كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلاَتَكَ
My friend (the Holy Prophet) bade me to hear and obey (the ruler) even if he is a slave having his feet and arms cut off, and observe prayer at its prescribed time. (And further said): It you find people having observed the prayer, you in fact saved your prayer, otherwise (if you join with them) that would be a Nafl prayer for you.
أَنْ أَسْمَعَ وَأُطِيعَ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَبْدًا مُجَدَّعَ الأَطْرَافِ وَأَنْ أُصَلِّيَ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَ الْقَوْمَ وَقَدْ صَلَّوْا كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلاَتَكَ وَإِلاَّ كَانَتْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً
(The Messenger of Allah) said: How would you, or how would thou, act if you survive to live among people who defer prayer beyond the (prescribed) time? (The narrator said: Allah and His Messenger know best). whereupon he said: Observe prayer at its prescribed time, but if the Iqama is pronounced for (congregational) prayer, then observe prayer along with them. for herein is an excess of virtue.
كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلاَةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا فَصَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ إِنْ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ فَإِنَّهَا زِيَادَةُ خَيْرٍ
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me: 'How will you act, Abu Dharr, when you are under rulers who kill prayer or delay it (beyond its proper time) ?' I said: 'Messenger of Allah, what do you command me ?' He replied: 'Offer the prayer at its proper time, and if you say it along with them, say it, for it will be a supererogatory prayer for you.'"
لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا كَانَتْ عَلَيْكَ أُمَرَاءُ يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلاَةَ أَوْ قَالَ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلاَةَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي قَالَ صَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَهَا مَعَهُمْ فَصَلِّهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَكَ نَافِلَةٌ
the Prophet said: "O Abu Dharr! There will be leaders after me who cause the Salat to die; so perform the Salat during its time. If you pray (with them) during its time, then that will be voluntary Salat for you, if not, then you will have attained your Salat."
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ أُمَرَاءُ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِي يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلاَةَ فَصَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ صُلِّيَتْ لِوَقْتِهَا كَانَتْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً وَإِلاَّ كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلاَتَكَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَعُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ
“Offer prayer on time, and if you reached the Imam leading them in prayers (on time), then perform it with them, and you will be safe with your prayer, otherwise it will be voluntary for you.”
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ صَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَ الإِمَامَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ وَقَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلاَتَكَ وَإِلاَّ فَهِيَ نَافِلَةٌ لَكَ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "O Abu Dharr, perform the prayer at its appointed time. If you come to the people and they have already prayed, then you have indeed fulfilled your prayer. But if they have not prayed, then you should pray with them, and it will be a voluntary prayer for you."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ أَتَيْتَ النَّاسَ وَقَدْ صَلَّوْا كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلَاتَكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا صَلَّوْا صَلَّيْتَ مَعَهُمْ وَكَانَتْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً
[AI] To me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abu Dharr, there will be rulers over you who will delay the prayer from its appointed time. If you happen to catch them, then pray the prayer at its time. And perhaps he mentioned during your journey, then approach them. If you find that they have already prayed, then you have indeed prayed. But if you find that they have not prayed, then you should pray with them, and it will be a voluntary prayer for you."

ذِكْرُ مَا يَجِبُ عَلَى الْمَرْءِ عِنْدَ تَأْخِيرِ الْأُمَرَاءِ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ أَوْقَاتِهَا
[AI] From the Prophet ﷺ said, "How would you be if you remained among people who delay the prayer beyond its time?" He said, "What should I do?" He said, "Pray the prayer on its exact time. If you catch up with them and they have not prayed, then pray with them and do not say, 'I have already prayed, so I will not pray.'"
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي قَوْمٍ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ وَقْتِهَا» قَالَ كَيْفَ أَفْعَلُ؟ قَالَ «صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِذَا أَدْرَكْتَهُمْ لَمْ يُصَلُّوا فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ وَلَا تَقُلْ إِنِّي قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فَلَا أُصَلِّي»
ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ قَوْلَهُ ﷺ وَإِلَّا فَهِيَ نَافِلَةٌ أَرَادَ بِهِ الصَّلَاةَ الثَّانِيَةَ لَا الْأُولَى
[AI] "For me, O Messenger of Allah ﷺ , pray the prayer on time. If you come to a group and they have already prayed, then you have safeguarded your prayer. But if they have not prayed, then you should pray with them, and it will be a voluntary prayer for you."
لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ أَتَيْتَ الْقَوْمَ وَقَدْ صَلَّوْا كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلَاتَكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونُوا صَلَّوْا صَلَّيْتَ مَعَهُمْ وَكَانَتْ لَكَ نَافِلَةً»
[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said that there will be leaders who will delay the prayer from its proper time. The best prayer is to pray it on time. Then go to them, and if they have already prayed, then you have preserved your prayer. Otherwise, pray with them, and it will be a voluntary prayer.

"صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا، فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَ مَعَهُمْ فَصَلِّ ولَا تَقُلْ إِنِّى قَدْ صَلَّيْتُ فَلَا أُصَلِّى".
"صَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا، فإِنْ أَدْرَكتَ الإِمَامَ يُصَلِّى بِهِم فَصَلِّ مَعَهُم، وَقدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلَاتَكَ، وَإِلَّا فَهى نَافِلَةٌ لَكَ".
"كَيف أنْتَ إِذَا كَانَت عَلَيكَ أمَرَاء يؤَخِّرونَ الصلاة عَن وَقْتِهَا؟ صَل الصلاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا فَإِنْ أدْرَكْتَهَا مَعَهمْ فَصَلِّ فَإِنهَا لَكَ نَافِلَة".
