“I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ when he was suffering from a fever, I placed my hand on him and felt heat with my hand from above the blanket. I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, how hard it is for you!’ He said: ‘We (Prophets) are like that. The trial is multiplied for us and so is the reward.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, which people are most severely tested?’ He said: ‘The Prophets.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, then who?’ He said: ‘Then the righteous, some of whom were tested with poverty until they could not find anything except a cloak to put around themselves. One of them will rejoice at calamity as one of you would rejoice at ease.’”
[Machine] "I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ while he was feverish, so I placed my hand on his forehead and felt the heat of the fever. I said, 'How intense is your fever, O Messenger of Allah!' He replied, 'We, the Prophets, are tested with greater pain. Our pain is multiplied, and so is our reward.' I then asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, who are the most severely tested people?' He answered, 'The Prophets, then the righteous. If a person is afflicted with poverty to an extent that they have nothing but a cloak to protect and cover themselves, or if one of them is afflicted with lice to the point of being killed by it, they would prefer this over giving anything to you.'"
[Machine] Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri entered upon the Messenger of Allah while he was wrapped in a Qatifa (a type of Yemeni garment made of wool) and he placed his hand on it and felt its heat above the Qatifa. Abu Sa'id said, "O Messenger of Allah, your cloak is very hot!" The Messenger of Allah said, "Indeed, we are inflicted with trials in this manner, and our reward is multiplied." Then Abu Sa'id asked, "O Messenger of Allah, who experiences the most severe trials?" The Messenger of Allah replied, "The prophets." Abu Sa'id asked again, "Then who?" He replied, "The scholars." Abu Sa'id asked once more, "Then who?" He replied, "Then the righteous." One of them would be tested with poverty to the extent that he could only find a garment to wear, and another would be tested with lice to the point of killing them. And none of them would be happier with trials than one of you would be with receiving gifts." Abu Al-Abbas narrated this to us from Bahar in the Musnad, and from Ar-Rabi' in Al-Fawaid, and I have combined both narrations.

[Machine] That Abu Sa’id al-Khudri entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he was wearing a cloak. He placed his hand upon it and found that it was warm on top of the cloak. Abu Sa’id said: "How severe is your fever, O Messenger of Allah!" The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied: "Indeed, we are subjected to trails and tests in this way, and as a result our reward is multiplied." Abu Sa’id asked: "O Messenger of Allah, who are the people who are subjected to the most trials?" The Prophet ﷺ answered: "The prophets." Abu Sa’id asked again: "Then who?" The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Then the scholars." Abu Sa’id asked again: "Then who?" The Prophet ﷺ answered: "Then the righteous. One of them is afflicted with poverty until he possesses nothing but a cloak to wear, and he is afflicted with lice until he kills them. And one of them rejoices more in times of trial than one of you does in times of prosperity."
