"عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قال: كُنْت (عِنْدَ) (* *) سعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ جَالِسًا فَذَكَرُوا أَنَّ أَقْوَامًا يَقُولُونَ: قَدَّرَ الله كُلَّ شَئٍ مَا خَلَا الأَعْمَالَ، فَوَالله مَا رَأَيْتُ سَعِيدَ ابنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ غَضِبَ غَضَبًا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ حَتَّى هَمَّ بِالْقِيَامِ، ثُمَّ سَكَنَ فَقَالَ: تَكَلَّمُوا بِهِ، حَدَّثَنِى رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ يَقُولُ: يَكُونُ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِى يَكْفُرُونَ بالله وَبِالْقُرْآنِ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ، كمَا كفَرَتِ الْيَهُودُ والنَّصَارَى، قُلْتُ: جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ الله وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ: يُقِرُّونَ بِبَعْضِ الْقَدَرِ وَيَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضِهِ، قُلْتُ: ثُمَّ مَا يَقُولُونَ؟ قَالَ: يَقُولُونَ: الْخَيْرُ مِنَ الله، والشَّرُّ مِنْ إِبْلِيسَ، فَيَقْرءُونَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ كِتَابَ الله وَيَكْفُرُونَ بِالقُرْآنِ بَعْدَ الإِيمَانِ وَالْمَعْرِفَةِ، فِيمَا تَلْقَى أُمَّتِى منْهُمْ مِنَ الْعَدَاوَةِ والْبَغْضَاءِ وَالْجِدَالِ، أُوَلئِكَ زَنَادِقَةُ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ، فِى زَمَانِهِمْ يَكُونُ ظُلْمُ السُّلْطَانِ فَيَالَهُ مِنْ ظُلْمٍ وَحَيْفٍ وأَثَرَةٍ، ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ الله طَاعُونًا فَيُفْنِى عَامَّتَهُمْ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ الْخَسْفُ، فَمَا أَقَلَّ مَنْ يَنْجُو مِنْهُمْ، الْمُؤْمِنُ يَوْمَئذٍ قَلِيلٌ فَرحُهُ، شَدِيدٌ غَمُّهُ، ثُمَّ يَكُونُ الْمَسْخُ، فَيَمْسَخُ الله عَامَّةَ أُولئِكَ قِرَدَةً وَخَنَازِيرَ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ

الدَّجَّالُ عَلَى أَثَرِ ذَلِكَ قَرِيبًا، ثُمَّ بَكَى رَسُولُ الله ﷺ حَتَّى بَكَيْنَا لِبُكَائِه، قُلْنَا: مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ قَالَ: رَحْمَةً لَهُمْ (إلا مسععنا) (*)، لأنَّ فِيهِمُ الْمُتَعَبِّدَ، وَفِيهِمُ الْمُتَّهَجِّدَ، مَعَ أَنَّهُمْ لَيْسُوا بأَوَّلِ مَنْ سَبَقَ إِلَى هَذَا القَوْلِ، وَضَاقَ بِحَمْلِهِ (* *) ذَرْعًا، إِنَّ عَامَّةَ مَنْ هَلَكَ مِنْ بَنِى إسْرَائِيلَ بالتَّكْذِيبِ بِالْقَدَرِ، قُلْتُ: جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ الله، فَقَال: كَيْفَ الإِيمَانُ بِالْقَدَرِ؟ قَالَ: تُؤمِنُ بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ، وَأَنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ ضَرّا وَلَا نَفْعًا، وَتُؤْمِنُ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، وَتَعْلَمُ أَنَّ الله - ﷻ- خَلَقَهُمَا قَبْلَ خَلْقِ الْخَلْقِ، ثُمَّ خَلَقَ خَلْقَهُ فَجَعَلَهُمْ مَنْ شَاءَ منْهُمْ لِلْجَنَّةِ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْهُمْ لِلنَّارِ، عَدْلًا ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ وَكُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ لِمَا فُرغَ لَهُ مِنْهُ، وَهُوَ صَايِرٌ إِلَى مَا فَرَغَ مِنْهُ، فَقُلْتُ: صَدَقَ الله وَرَسُولُهُ".  

[طب] الطبرانى في الكبير من طريقين عن عمرو بن شعيب، وفى الأول حجاج بن نصير ضعيف، وفى الثانى ابن لهيعة، فالحديث حسن، ورواه الحارث، [ع] أبو يعلى من طريقين لآخرين عنه، ورواه [خط] الخطيب في المتفق والمفترق من طريق الحرث، وقال: في إسناده من المجهولين غير واحد

"I supplicate Allah to bring you and I together in the market of Paradise." So Sa'eed said: "Is there a market in it?" He said: "Yes, the messenger of Allah ﷺ informed me that: 'When the people of Paradise enter it, they shall take their places according to the virtue of their deeds. Then permission shall be granted to them to visit their Lord, for the length of a Friday from the days of the world. He shall present for them His Throne and He shall manifest the gardens of Paradise. Then lofty seats of light shall be erected for them, and lofty saets of pearl, and lofty seats or corundum, and lofty seats of peridots, and lofty seats of gold, and lofty seats of silver. And the lowest of them- and there is none of them that is low- shall sit upon a dune of musk and camphor, and they shall not regard those upon the chairs as having a better sitting place than them.' Abu Hurairah said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, and will we see our Lord?' He ﷺ said: 'Yes.[He said: ] Do you doubt [concerning] seeing the sun, or the moon on a night when it is full?' We said: 'No.' He said: 'Likewise, you will not doubt concerning seeing your Lord. And they shall not remain in that meeting any man except Allah shall give him a lecture until he says to a man from among them: "O so-and – so son of so - and – so, do you remember the day when you said such-and-such.” And He will remind him of some of his betrayals in the world, so he will say: “O my Lord, did you not forgive me?” So He will say: “Indeed! It is by the vastness of My Forgiveness that you reached this station of yours.” So while they are engaged in this they shall be covered by a cloud that shall rain upon them a perfume, the like of whose smell they have not smelled, ever. And our Lord [Blessed and Exalted is He] shall say: “Arise to what I have prepared for you of generosity, and take whatever you desire.” Then, we will come to a market which the angels will have already surrounded. [In it] shall be what no eyes have seen the like of, nor ears have heard of, nor ever has it occurred in the hearts (of men). And there shall be carried to us whatever we desire. There shall be not be anything sold or bought in this market, and, in that market, the people of Paradise shall meet one another.' He said: 'So the person of high rank shall come and meet the one below him in rank- and there is none among them that is low- so he shall be impressed by the clothes he sees on him, their discussion shall not come to an end until he shall imagine upon himself what is more beautiful than it, and that is because it is not fitting for anyone to feel regret therein. Then we will return to our places and our wives shall meet us saying: “Welcome and greetings, you have come, and you have beauty greater than what you parted us with.” So we will say: “Indeed we sat today with our Lord, the Powerful, and it is fitting that we should return with what we have returned with.'” (Da'if)

أَنْ يَجْمَعَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ فِي سُوقِ الْجَنَّةِ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ أَفِيهَا سُوقٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ إِذَا دَخَلُوهَا نَزَلُوا فِيهَا بِفَضْلِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ ثُمَّ يُؤْذَنُ فِي مِقْدَارِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ أَيَّامِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَزُورُونَ رَبَّهُمْ وَيُبْرِزُ لَهُمْ عَرْشَهُ وَيَتَبَدَّى لَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَتُوضَعُ لَهُمْ مَنَابِرُ مِنْ نُورٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ لُؤْلُؤٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ يَاقُوتٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ زَبَرْجَدٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَيَجْلِسُ أَدْنَاهُمْ وَمَا فِيهِمْ مِنْ دَنِيٍّ عَلَى كُثْبَانِ الْمِسْكِ وَالْكَافُورِ وَمَا يُرَوْنَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَرَاسِيِّ بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْهُمْ مَجْلِسًا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهَلْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ هَلْ تَتَمَارَوْنَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ قُلْنَا لاَ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ لاَ تَتَمَارَوْنَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ رَبِّكُمْ وَلاَ يَبْقَى فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسِ رَجُلٌ إِلاَّ حَاضَرَهُ اللَّهُ مُحَاضَرَةً حَتَّى يَقُولَ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْهُمْ يَا فُلاَنُ ابْنَ فُلاَنٍ أَتَذْكُرُ يَوْمَ قُلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَيُذَكِّرُهُ بِبَعْضِ غَدَرَاتِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَفَلَمْ تَغْفِرْ لِي فَيَقُولُ بَلَى فَبِسِعَةِ مَغْفِرَتِي بَلَغْتَ مَنْزِلَتَكَ هَذِهِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ غَشِيَتْهُمْ سَحَابَةٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ فَأَمْطَرَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ طِيبًا لَمْ يَجِدُوا مِثْلَ رِيحِهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ وَيَقُولُ رَبُّنَا تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قُومُوا إِلَى مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ فَخُذُوا مَا اشْتَهَيْتُمْ قَالَ فَنَأْتِي سُوقًا قَدْ حَفَّتْ بِهِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ فِيهِ مَا لَمْ تَنْظُرِ الْعُيُونُ إِلَى مِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ تَسْمَعِ الآذَانُ وَلَمْ يَخْطُرْ عَلَى الْقُلُوبِ فَيُحْمَلُ لَنَا مَا اشْتَهَيْنَا لَيْسَ يُبَاعُ فِيهَا وَلاَ يُشْتَرَى وَفِي ذَلِكَ السُّوقِ يَلْقَى أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا قَالَ فَيُقْبِلُ الرَّجُلُ ذُو الْمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُرْتَفِعَةِ فَيَلْقَى مَنْ هُوَ دُونَهُ وَمَا فِيهِمْ دَنِيٌّ فَيَرُوعُهُ مَا يَرَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ اللِّبَاسِ فَمَا يَنْقَضِي آخِرُ حَدِيثِهِ حَتَّى يَتَخَيَّلَ إِلَيْهِ مَا هُوَ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهُ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَحْزَنَ فِيهَا ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ إِلَى مَنَازِلِنَا فَتَتَلَقَّانَا أَزْوَاجُنَا فَيَقُلْنَ مَرْحَبًا وَأَهْلاً لَقَدْ جِئْتَ وَإِنَّ بِكَ مِنَ الْجَمَالِ أَفْضَلَ مِمَّا فَارَقْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ فَنَقُولُ إِنَّا جَالَسْنَا الْيَوْمَ رَبَّنَا الْجَبَّارَ وَيَحِقُّنَا أَنْ نَنْقَلِبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا انْقَلَبْنَا  

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَقَدْ رَوَى سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ شَيْئًا مِنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ

“I supplicate Allah to bring you and I together in the marketplace of Paradise,” Sa’eed said: “Is there a marketplace there?” He said: “Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me that when the people of Paradise enter it, they will take their places according to their deeds, and they will be given permission for a length of time equivalent to Friday on earth, when they will visit Allah. His Throne will be shown to them and He will appear to them in one of the gardens of Paradise. Chairs of light and chairs of pearls and chairs of rubies and chairs of chrysolite and chairs of gold and chairs of silver will be placed for them. Those who are of a lower status than them, and none of them will be regarded as insignificant, will sit on sandhills of musk and camphor, and they will not feel that those who are sitting on chairs are seated better than them.” Abu Hurairah said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord?’ He said: ‘Yes. Do you dispute that you see the sun and the moon on the night when it is full?’ We said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Likewise, you will not dispute that you see your Lord, the Glorified. There will be no one left in that gathering with whom Allah does not speak face to face, until He will say to a man among you: “Do you not remember, O so-and-so, the day you did such and such?” And He will remind him of some of his sins in this world. He will say: “O Lord, have You not forgiven me?” He will say: “Yes, it is by the vastness of My forgiveness that You have reached the position you are in.” While they are like that, a cloud will cover them from above and will rain down on them perfume the like of whose fragrance they have never smelled before. Then He will say: “Get up and go to the honor that has been prepared for you, and take whatever you desire.” So we will go to a marketplace surrounded by the angels, in which there will be such things as eyes have never seen, ears have never heard and it has not entered the heart of man. Whatever we desire will be carried for us. Nothing will be bought or sold therein. In that marketplace the people of Paradise will meet one another. A man of elevated status will meet those who are of lower status than him, but none shall be regarded as insignificant, and he will be dazzled by the clothes that he sees on him. He will not finish the last of his conversation before better clothes appear on him. That is because no one should be sad there.’” “He said: ‘Then we will go back to our homes where we will be met by our wives, and they will say: ‘Welcome. You have come looking more handsome and with a better fragrance than when you left us.’ And we will say: ‘Today we sat with our Lord, the Compeller, the Glorified, and we deserve to come back as we have come back.’”

أَنْ يَجْمَعَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ فِي سُوقِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ أَوَفِيهَا سُوقٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ إِذَا دَخَلُوهَا نَزَلُوا فِيهَا بِفَضْلِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فَيُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فِي مِقْدَارِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ أَيَّامِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَزُورُونَ اللَّهَ ﷻ وَيُبْرِزُ لَهُمْ عَرْشَهُ وَيَتَبَدَّى لَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَتُوضَعُ لَهُمْ مَنَابِرُ مِنْ نُورٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ لُؤْلُؤٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ يَاقُوتٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ زَبَرْجَدٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَيَجْلِسُ أَدْنَاهُمْ وَمَا فِيهِمْ دَنِيءٌ عَلَى كُثْبَانِ الْمِسْكِ وَالْكَافُورِ مَا يُرَوْنَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَرَاسِيِّ بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْهُمْ مَجْلِسًا قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا قَالَ نَعَمْ هَلْ تَتَمَارَوْنَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ قُلْنَا لاَ قَالَ كَذَلِكَ لاَ تَتَمَارَوْنَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ رَبِّكُمْ ﷻ وَلاَ يَبْقَى فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسِ أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ حَاضَرَهُ اللَّهُ ﷻ مُحَاضَرَةً حَتَّى إِنَّهُ يَقُولُ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْكُمْ أَلاَ تَذْكُرُ يَا فُلاَنُ يَوْمَ عَمِلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا يُذَكِّرُهُ بَعْضَ غَدَرَاتِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَفَلَمْ تَغْفِرْ لِي فَيَقُولُ بَلَى فَبِسَعَةِ مَغْفِرَتِي بَلَغْتَ مَنْزِلَتَكَ هَذِهِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ كَذَلِكَ غَشِيَتْهُمْ سَحَابَةٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ فَأَمْطَرَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ طِيبًا لَمْ يَجِدُوا مِثْلَ رِيحِهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ قُومُوا إِلَى مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ فَخُذُوا مَا اشْتَهَيْتُمْ قَالَ فَنَأْتِي سُوقًا قَدْ حُفَّتْ بِهِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ فِيهِ مَا لَمْ تَنْظُرِ الْعُيُونُ إِلَى مِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ تَسْمَعِ الآذَانُ وَلَمْ يَخْطُرْ عَلَى الْقُلُوبِ قَالَ فَيُحْمَلُ لَنَا مَا اشْتَهَيْنَا لَيْسَ يُبَاعُ فِيهِ شَىْءٌ وَلاَ يُشْتَرَى وَفِي ذَلِكَ السُّوقِ يَلْقَى أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا فَيُقْبِلُ الرَّجُلُ ذُو الْمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُرْتَفِعَةِ فَيَلْقَى مَنْ هُوَ دُونَهُ وَمَا فِيهِمْ دَنِيءٌ فَيَرُوعُهُ مَا يَرَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ اللِّبَاسِ فَمَا يَنْقَضِي آخِرُ حَدِيثِهِ حَتَّى يَتَمَثَّلَ لَهُ عَلَيْهِ أَحْسَنُ مِنْهُ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يَنْبَغِي لأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَحْزَنَ فِيهَا قَالَ ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ إِلَى مَنَازِلِنَا فَيَتَلَقَّانَا أَزْوَاجُنَا فَيَقُلْنَ مَرْحَبًا وَأَهْلاً لَقَدْ جِئْتَ وَإِنَّ بِكَ مِنَ الْجَمَالِ وَالطِّيبِ أَفْضَلَ مِمَّا فَارَقْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ فَنَقُولُ إِنَّا جَالَسْنَا الْيَوْمَ رَبَّنَا الْجَبَّارَ ﷻ وَيَحِقُّنَا أَنْ نَنْقَلِبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا انْقَلَبْنَا

[Machine] The horses of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, or he said, the messengers of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived, and I was near a scorpion, so they took my aunt and some people. They brought them to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he ordered them to line up for him. She said, "O Messenger of Allah, the newcomer went away and the baby is gone, and I am an old woman with no one to serve me. So who will show me kindness, as God has shown kindness to you?" He asked her, "Who is your neighbor?" She said, "Adi ibn Hatim." He said, "The one who has run away from God and His Messenger?" She said, "So who will show me kindness?" He said, "When he returned, a man came to him, and we could see that it was Ali. He said, 'Put her on a camel and he asked her.' So she went to him and said, 'You have done something that your father used to do.' He said, 'Did you visit him willingly or as a monastic?' She said, 'Such and such person came to him and got something from him, and such and such person came to him and got something from him.' He said, 'So I came to him, and there was a woman and children with him.' They mentioned their relationship to the Prophet ﷺ , so I knew that he did not have the dominion of Khusra or Caesar. He asked him, 'O Adi ibn Hatim, what has prevented you from saying there is no god but Allah? Is there any god but Allah? What has prevented you from saying Allah is the Greatest? Is there anything greater than Allah?' She said, 'So I have submitted and I saw his face light up, and he said, 'Indeed, the Jews are the ones who have earned wrath, and the Christians are the ones who have gone astray.' Then they asked him to praise Allah, and he praised Him and said, 'As for what follows, you people should submit yourself and lower yourselves from pride, as a person submits with a sa' of dates to another person with a handful of dates. Shu'bah said, 'My most knowledgeable opinion is that he said it is one date with a part of a date.' And verily, one of you will meet Allah, and yet he will say, 'What should I say?' Didn't I make you hearing and seeing? Didn't I give you wealth and children? What did you prepare?' So he will look in front of him, behind him, to his right and to his left, and he will not find anything. So the fire will not touch anyone except with his face. So fear the fire, even with a part of a date. And if you do not find that, then with a gentle word. Indeed, I do not fear poverty for you, for Allah will support you and give you victory, or He will open for you until the camels can walk between Al-Hirah and Yathrib. Indeed, what the thieving fears most is the loss of her property.' Muhammad ibn Ja'far said, 'I heard this from Shu'bah, and I recited it to him.'"

جَاءَتْ خَيْلُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَوْ قَالَ رُسُلُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا بِعَقْرَبٍ فَأَخَذُوا عَمَّتِي وَنَاسًا قَالَ فَلَمَّا أَتَوْا بِهِمْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَصَفُّوا لَهُ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَأَى الْوَافِدُ وَانْقَطَعَ الْوَلَدُ وَأَنَا عَجُوزٌ كَبِيرَةٌ مَا بِي مِنْ خِدْمَةٍ فَمُنَّ عَلَيَّ مَنَّ اللهُ عَلَيْكَ قَالَ مَنْ وَافِدُكِ؟ قَالَتْ عَدِيُّ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ قَالَ الَّذِي فَرَّ مِنَ اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ؟ قَالَتْ فَمَنَّ عَلَيَّ قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ وَرَجُلٌ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ نَرَى أَنَّهُ عَلِيٌّ قَالَ سَلِيهِ حِمْلَانًا قَالَ فَسَأَلَتْهُ فَأَمَرَ لَهَا قَالَتْ فَأَتَانِي فَقَالَتْ لَقَدْ فَعَلْتَ فَعْلَةً مَا كَانَ أَبُوكَ يَفْعَلُهَا قَالَتْائْتِهِ رَاغِبًا أَوْ رَاهِبًا فَقَدْ أَتَاهُ فُلَانٌ فَأَصَابَ مِنْهُ وَأَتَاهُ فُلَانٌ فَأَصَابَ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَإِذَا عِنْدَهُ امْرَأَةٌ وَصِبْيَانٌ أَوْ صَبِيٌّ فَذَكَرَ قُرْبَهُمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ مُلْكُ كِسْرَى وَلَا قَيْصَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا عَدِيُّ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ مَا أَفَرَّكَ أَنْ يُقَالَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ؟ فَهَلْ مِنْ إِلَهٍ إِلَّا اللهُ؟ مَا أَفَرَّكَ أَنْ يُقَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ؟ فَهَلْ شَيْءٌ هُوَ أَكْبَرُ مِنَ اللهِ ﷻ؟ قَالَ فَأَسْلَمْتُ فَرَأَيْتُ وَجْهَهُ اسْتَبْشَرَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَغْضُوبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْيَهُودُ وإنَّ الضَّالِّينَ النَّصَارَى ثُمَّ سَأَلُوهُ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ تَعَالَى وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَلَكُمْ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَنْ تَرْتَضِخُوا مِنَ الْفَضْلِ ارْتَضَخَ امْرُؤٌ بِصَاعٍ بِبَعْضِ صَاعٍ بِقَبْضَةٍ بِبَعْضِ قَبْضَةٍ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَأَكْثَرُ عِلْمِي أَنَّهُ قَالَ بِتَمْرَةٍ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ وَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَاقِي اللهَ ﷻ فَقَائِلٌ مَا أَقُولُ أَلَمْ أَجْعَلْكَ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا؟ أَلَمْ أَجْعَلْ لَكَ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا؟ فَمَاذَا قَدَّمْتَ؟ فَيَنْظُرُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ فَلَا يَجِدُ شَيْئًا فَمَا يَتَّقِي النَّارَ إِلَّا بِوَجْهِهِ فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوهُ فَبِكَلِمَةٍ لَيِّنَةٍ إِنِّي لَا أَخْشَى عَلَيْكُمُ الْفَاقَةَ لَيَنْصُرَنَّكُمُ اللهُ تَعَالَى وَلَيُعْطِيَنَّكُمْ أَوْ لَيَفْتَحَنَّ لَكُمْ حَتَّى تَسِيرَ الظَّعِينَةُ بَيْنَ الْحِيرَةِ ويَثْرِبَ إِنَّ أَكْثَرَ مَا تَخَافُ السَّرَقَ عَلَى ظَعِينَتِهَا قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَاهُ شُعْبَةُ مَا لَا أُحْصِيهِ وَقَرَأْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ  

ذِكْرُ الْإِخْبَارِ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ معَبُّودَهُمْ جَلَّ وَعَلَا

“I supplicate Allah to bring you and I together in the marketplace of Paradise,” Sa’eed said: “Is there a marketplace there?” He said: “Yes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told me that when the people of Paradise enter it, they will take their places according to their deeds, and they will be given permission for a length of time equivalent to Friday on earth, when they will visit Allah. His Throne will be shown to them and He will appear to them in one of the gardens of Paradise. Chairs of light and chairs of pearls and chairs of rubies and chairs of chrysolite and chairs of gold and chairs of silver will be placed for them. Those who are of a lower status than them, and none of them will be regarded as insignificant, will sit on sandhills of musk and camphor, and they will not feel that those who are sitting on chairs are seated better than them.” Abu Hurairah said: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord?’ He said: ‘Yes. Do you dispute that you see the sun and the moon on the night when it is full?’ We said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Likewise, you will not dispute that you see your Lord, the Glorified. There will be no one left in that gathering with whom Allah does not speak face to face, until He will say to a man among you: “Do you not remember, O so-and-so, the day you did such and such?” And He will remind him of some of his sins in this world. He will say: “O Lord, have You not forgiven me?” He will say: “Yes, it is by the vastness of My forgiveness that You have reached the position you are in.” While they are like that, a cloud will cover them from above and will rain down on them perfume the like of whose fragrance they have never smelled before. Then He will say: “Get up and go to the honor that has been prepared for you, and take whatever you desire.” So we will go to a marketplace surrounded by the angels, in which there will be such things as eyes have never seen, ears have never heard and it has not entered the heart of man. Whatever we desire will be carried for us. Nothing will be bought or sold therein. In that marketplace the people of Paradise will meet one another. A man of elevated status will meet those who are of lower status than him, but none shall be regarded as insignificant, and he will be dazzled by the clothes that he sees on him. He will not finish the last of his conversation before better clothes appear on him. That is because no one should be sad there.’” “He said: ‘Then we will go back to our homes where we will be met by our wives, and they will say: ‘Welcome. You have come looking more handsome and with a better fragrance than when you left us.’ And we will say: ‘Today we sat with our Lord, the Compeller, the Glorified, and we deserve to come back as we have come back.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4336)  

ابن حبّان:٧٤٣٨أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ بِنَسَا وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِبُسْتَ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ بِمَنْبِجَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ بِبَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فِي آخَرِينَ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي الْعِشْرِينَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّهُ لَقِيَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ

أَنْ يَجْمَعَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ فِي سُوقِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ أَوَ فِيهَا سُوقٌ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ إِذَا دَخَلُوهَا نَزَلُوا فِيهَا بِفَضْلِ أَعْمَالِهِمْ فَيُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فِي مِقْدَارِ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ مِنْ أَيَّامِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَزُورُونَ اللَّهَ جَلَّ وَعَلَا وَيُبْرِزُ لَهُمْ عَرْشَهُ وَيتَبَدَّى لَهُمْ فِي رَوْضَةٍ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَيُوضَعُ لَهُمْ مَنَابِرُ مِنْ نُورٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ لُؤْلُؤٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ يَاقُوتٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ زَبَرْجَدٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَمَنَابِرُ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَيَجْلِسُ أَدْنَاهُمْ وَمَا فِيهِمْ دَنِيٌّ عَلَى كُثْبَانِ الْمِسْكِ وَالْكَافُورِ مَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَرَاسِيِّ أَفْضَلُ مِنْهُمْ مَجْلِسًا» قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهَلْ نَرَى رَبَّنَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ هَلْ تَتَمَارَوْنَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ الشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ» قُلْنَا لَا قَالَ «كَذَلِكَ لَا تَتَمَارَوْنَ فِي رُؤْيَةِ رَبِّكُمْ وَلَا يَبْقَى فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسِ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا حَاصَرَهُ اللَّهُ مُحَاصَرَةً حَتَّى إِنَّهُ لَيَقُولُ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنْهُمْ يَا فُلَانُ أَتَذْكُرُ يَوْمَ عَمِلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا؟ يُذَكِّرُهُ بَعْضَ غَدَرَاتِهِ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَفَلَمْ تَغْفِرْ لِي؟ فَيَقُولُ بَلَى فَبِسَعَةِ مَغْفِرَتِي بَلَغْتَ مَنْزِلَتَكَ هَذِهِ قَالَ فَبَيْنَا هُمْ كَذَلِكَ غَشِيَتْهُمْ سَحَابَةٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ فَأَمْطَرَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ طِيبًا لَمْ يَجِدُوا مِثْلَ رِيحِهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا قُومُوا إِلَى مَا أَعْدَدْتُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْكَرَامَةِ فَخُذُوا مَا اشْتَهَيْتُمْ قَالَ فَنَأْتِي سُوقًا قَدْ حُفَّتْ بِهِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مَا لَمْ تَنْظُرِ الْعُيُونُ إِلَى مِثْلِهِ وَلَمْ تَسْمَعِ الْآذَانُ وَلَمْ يَخْطُرْ عَلَى الْقُلُوبِ قَالَ فَيُحْمَلُ لَنَا مَا اشْتَهَيْنَا لَيْسَ يُبَاعُ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ وَلَا يُشْتَرَى وَفِي ذَلِكَ السُّوقِ يَلْقَى أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا قَالَ فَيُقْبِلُ الرَّجُلُ ذُو الْمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُرْتَفِعَةِ فَيَلْقَى مَنْ هُوَ دُونَهُ وَمَا فِيهِمْ دَنِيٌّ فَيَرُوعُهُ مَا يَرَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ اللِّبَاسِ فَمَا يَنْقَضِي آخِرُ حَدِيثِهِ حَتَّى يَتَمَثَّلَ عَلَيْهِ بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهُ وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَحْزَنَ فِيهَا قَالَ ثُمَّ نَنْصَرِفُ إِلَى مَنَازِلِنَا فَتَلْقَانَا أَزْوَاجُنَا فَيَقُلْنَ مَرْحَبًا وَأَهْلًا بِحِبِّنَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ وَإِنَّ بِكَ مِنَ الْجَمَالِ وَالطِّيبِ أَفْضَلَ مِمَّا فَارَقْتَنَا عَلَيْهِ فَيَقُولُ إِنَّا جَالَسْنَا الْيَوْمَ رَبَّنَا الْجَبَّارَ وَيَحُقُّنَا أَنْ نَنْقَلِبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا انْقَلَبْنَا»

[Machine] That there are people who say that Allah has decreed everything, nothing is left for actions. Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib said, "By Allah, I have never seen Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib angrier than he was until he became concerned about the Day of Resurrection. Then he calmed down and said, 'Do you speak of him? By Allah, I have heard something from them that suffices them for evil. Do they not know?' So I said, 'May Allah have mercy on you, O Abu Muhammad, what is it?' He looked at me, and some of his anger had subsided, and he said, 'Rafi' ibn Khadeej narrated to me that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There will be a people from my Ummah who will reject Allah and the Qur'an, and they will not even realize it. They will disbelieve just as the Jews and Christians disbelieved."' I said, 'May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, how is that?' He said, 'They acknowledge some of the predestination and deny the rest.' I said, 'What will they say then?' He said, 'They will say that good comes from Allah and evil comes from Shaytan. They will acknowledge that in the Book of Allah, but will disbelieve in the Qur'an after they have believed and understood it. My Ummah will face enmity, hatred and disputes from them. They are the worst of this Ummah in their time. They will be afflicted with severe oppression from the ruler, who will treat them unjustly and with contempt. Then Allah will send a plague upon them that wipes out most of them. Then there will be an earthquake, and very few of them will survive. Their joy on that day will be so intense, and their sorrow so severe. Then the Dajjal will appear shortly after that.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ started to weep, until we started to weep because of his weeping. We said, 'What makes you weep?' He said, 'I weep for the miserable ones among them, because the worshipper and the diligent one may be among them, even though they are not the first to embark upon this way, and they are overwhelmed by its burden. The fact is that when most of the children of Israel perished by denying predestination, most of my Ummah followed them.' I said, 'May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, tell me, how should we have faith in predestination?' He said, 'You should believe in Allah alone and understand that no one has any power to harm or benefit except Allah. You should believe in Paradise and Hell, and know that Allah created them before He created the creatures, then He created whom He willed for Paradise and whom He willed for Hell, based on His own wisdom. And everyone is striving to achieve that for which they were created, and they will end up with that which they strove for.'" I said, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth."

أَنَّ أَقْوَامًا يَقُولُونَ قَدَّرَ اللهُ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ مَا خَلَا الْأَعْمَالِ قَالَ فَوَاللهِ مَا رَأَيْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ غَضِبَ غَضَبًا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ حَتَّى هَمَّ بِالْقِيَامِ ثُمَّ سَكَنَ فَقَالَ تَكَلَّمُوا بِهِ أَمَا وَاللهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ فِيهِمْ حَدِيثًا كَفَاهُمْ بِهِ شَرًّا وَيْحَهُمْ أَوَ يَعْلَمُونَ؟ فَقُلْتُ يَرْحَمُكَ اللهُ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَمَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ وَقَدْ سَكَنَ بَعْضُ غَضَبِهِ فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَكُونُ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَكْفُرُونَ بِاللهِ وبِالْقُرَآنِ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ كَمَا كَفَرَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى» قَالَ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَكَيْفَ ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ «يُقِرُّونَ بِبَعْضِ الْقَدَرِ ويَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضِهِ» قَالَ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَا يَقُولُونَ؟ قَالَ يَقُولُونَ الْخَيْرُ مِنَ اللهِ وَالشَّرُّ مِنْ إِبْلِيسَ فَيُقِرُّونَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ كِتَابَ اللهِ ويَكْفُرُونَ بِالْقُرْآنِ بَعْدَ الْإِيمَانِ وَالْمَعْرِفَةِ فَمَا يَلْقَى أُمَّتِي مِنْهُمْ مِنَ الْعَدَاوَةِ وَالْبَغْضَاءِ وَالْجِدَالِ أُولَئِكَ زَنَادِقَةُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ فِي زَمَانِهِمْ يَكُونُ ظُلْمُ السُّلْطَانِ فَيَنَالُهُمْ مِنْ ظُلْمٍ وَحَيْفٍ وَأَثَرَةٍ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ اللهُ ﷻ طَاعُونًا فَيُفْنِي عَامَّتَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ الْخَسْفُ فَمَا أَقَلَّ مَا يَنْجُو مِنْهُمْ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَلِيلٌ فَرَحُهُ شَدِيدٌ غَمُّهُ ثُمَّ يَكُونُ الْمَسْخُ فَيَمْسَخُ اللهُ ﷻ عَامَّةَ أُولَئِكَ قِرَدَةً وَخَنَازِيرَ ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ عَلَى أَثَرِ ذَلِكَ قَرِيبًا ثُمَّ بَكَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى بَكَيْنَا لِبُكَائِهِ قُلْنَا مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ قَالَ «رَحْمَةً لِهَمِّ الْأَشْقِيَاءِ لِأَنَّ فِيهِمُ الْمُتَعَبِّدَ وَمِنْهُمُ الْمُجْتَهِدَ مَعَ أَنَّهُمْ لَيْسُوا بِأَوَّلِ مَنْ سَبَقَ إِلَى هَذَا الْقَوْلِ وَضَاقَ بِحَمْلِهِ ذَرْعًا إِنَّ عَامَّةَ مَنْ هَلَكَ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ بِالتَّكْذِيبِ بِالْقَدَرِ» قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَقُلْ لِي كَيْفَ الْإِيمَانُ بِالْقَدَرِ؟ قَالَ «تُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ وَأَنَّهُ لَا يَمْلِكُ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا وَتُؤْمِنُ بِالْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ وَتَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ خَالِقُهُمَا قَبْلَ خَلْقِ الْخَلْقِ ثُمَّ خَلَقَ خَلْقَهُ فَجَعَلَهُمْ مَنْ شَاءَ مِنْهُمْ لِلْجَنَّةِ وَمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْهُمْ لِلنَّارِ عَدْلًا ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ وَكُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ لِمَا فُرِغَ لَهُ وَهُوَ صَائِرٌ إِلَى مَا فُرِغَ مِنْهُ» قُلْتُ صَدَقَ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

"عَنْ عَطاء بن أَبِى رَبَاحٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا مَعَ ابنِ عُمَرَ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ إِرْسَالِ الْعِمَامَةِ خَلْفَهُ، فَقَالَ ابن عُمَرَ: سَأُنْبِيكَ عَنْهُ بِعِلْمٍ إنْ شَاءَ الله، كنتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ عَاشِر عَشَرة رَهْطٍ فِى مَسْجِد فِيهِم أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ، وَعُمَرُ بن الْخَطَّاب، وَعَلِىٌّ، وَعُثْمَانُ، وعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَن بن عَوْفٍ، وابنُ جَبَلٍ، وابنُ مَسْعُود، وأبُو سَعِيدٍ الخُدْرِى، وابن عُمَرَ، فَجَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِىِّ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ الله: أَىُّ المؤمنِينِ أَفْضَل؟ قَالَ: أَحْسَنُهُم خُلُقًا، قَالَ: فَأَىُّ الْمُؤْمِنين أَكْيَس؟ قَالَ: أَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلمَوتِ ذِكْرًا وَأحْسَنهُم لَهُ اسْتِعْدَادًا، أُولَئكَ هُمُ الأكيَاس ثُمَّ أَمْسَكَ النَّبيُّ، وَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُول الله ﷺ فَقَالَ: يَا مَعْشَرَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ: خِصَالٌ خَمس وَأَعُوذُ بِالله أَنْ تُدْركُوهُنَّ: لَمْ تَظْهَر الْفَاحِشَةُ فِى قَوْمٍ قَطُّ حَتَّى يُعْلِنُوا بهَا إلاَّ فَشَا فيهِم الطَّاعُونُ وَالأَوْجَاعُ الَّتِى لَمْ تَكُن مَضَتْ فِى أَسْلافِهِم الَّذِين مَضَوا، وَلَمْ يُنْقِصُوا الْمِكيَال والْميزَانَ إلاَّ أُخذُوا بِالسِّنينَ وَشِدَّةِ الْمؤُنَةِ وَجَوْرِ السُّلْطَانِ عَلَيْهِم، وَلَمْ يَمْنَعُوا زَكَاةَ أَمْوَالِهِمْ إِلاَّ مُنِعُوا القَطْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ، وَلَوْلاَ البَهَائِم لَمْ يُمْطَرُوا، وَلَمْ يَنْقُضُوا عَهْدَ الله وَعَهْدَ رَسُولِهِ إلا سَلَّطَ الله عَلَيْهِم عَدُوَّهُمْ مِنْ غَيْرِهِم فَأَخَذُوا بَعْضَ مَا كَانَ فِى أَيْدِيهم وَلَم تَحكُم أَئمَّتهُم بكتَابِ الله ويتخَيَّروا فِيما أنزَلَ الله إلاَّجَعَلَ بَأسَهُمَ بَيْنَهُم، ثُمَّ أَمَر النَّبِىُّ ﷺ ابنَ عَوْفٍ أنْ يَتَجَهَّزَ لسَريةٍ يَبْعَثُهَا، فَأَصْبَحَ وَقَد اعْتَمَّ بِعمامَةٍ مِنْ كرَابِيس سَوْدَاء فَأَدْنَاهُ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ نقضها فَعَمَّمَهُ بِيَدِه وَأَرَسَلَ العمَامَةَ خَلْفَهُ أَرْبَع أَصَابِعَ أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: هَكَذَا يَابْنَ عَوْفٍ فَاعْتَمَّ فَإنَّهُ أَعْرب وَأَحْسَنُ، ثُمَّ أَمَرَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ بِلاَلا يَدْفَعُ إِلَيْهِ اللِّواءَ فَحَمِدَ الله - ﷻ - وَصَلَّى عَلَى النَّبىِّ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ: خُذْهُ يَابْنَ عَوْف اغْزُوا فِى سَبِيلِ الله جَمِيعًا قَاتِلوُا مَنْ كَفَر بِالله وَلاَ تَغُلُّوا وَلاَ تَغْدُرُوا، وَلاَ تُمثِّلُوا، وَلاَ تَقْتُلوا وَلِيدًا، فَهذَا عَهْدُ الله إِلِيْكُم، وَسِيرَةُ نَبِيِّهِ ﷺ فِيكُمْ".
