from Ḥūwayṭib b. ʿAbd al-ʿUzzá —
[Machine] "We were sitting one day in the courtyard of the Kaaba during the pre-Islamic era, when a woman came seeking refuge at the Kaaba from her husband. Her husband arrived and reached out his hand towards her, but his hand became paralyzed. I witnessed this incident during the time of Islam, and indeed he was handicapped." عن حوويطب بن عبد العزى —
«كُنَّا قُعُودًا يَوْمًا بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ إِذْ جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ تَعَوَّذُ بِالْكَعْبَةِ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا فَجَاءَ زَوْجُهَا فَمَدَّ يَدَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَيَبُسَتْ يَدُهُ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَإِنَّهُ لَأَشَلٌّ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص
