"لَا تُشَدِّدوا على أنفسِكم، فإنما هلكَ من قَبْلكم بتشديدهم على أنفسِهم، وسيَجِدُون بقاياهم في الصوامع والايارات".

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not be harsh on yourselves, for those before you were destroyed by their harshness towards themselves, and you will find remnants of them in monastic cells and homes."  

الطبراني:٥٥٥١ – حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ وَمُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَا ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَهْلَ بْنَ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تُشَدِّدُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِتَشْدِيدهِمْ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَسَتَجِدُونَ بَقَايَاهُمْ فِي الصَّوَامِعِ وَالدِّيَارَاتِ»
