"عَنْ أبى جميلة: أَنَّه وجد منبوذًا على عهدِ عمرَ فأتاه فاتَّهمه، فأثنى عليه خيرًا، فقال عمر: فَهُوَ حُرٌّ، وَوَلاؤُهُ لَكَ، وَنَفَقَتُهُ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْمَالِ".  

مالك، والشافعى، [عب] عبد الرازق وابن سعد، [ق] البيهقى في السنن

[Machine] He found someone rejected during the era of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), so he brought him and Umar accused him with it. Then Umar praised him and said, "He is free and his loyalty is to you, and his expenditure comes from the treasury."
