from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: Two Eids have synchronized on this day. If anyone does not want to offer the Friday prayer, the Eid prayer is sufficient for him. ˹As for us,˺ we shall offer the Friday prayer.
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدِ اجْتَمَعَ فِي يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا عِيدَانِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَجْزَأَهُ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَإِنَّا مُجَمِّعُونَ
The Prophet ﷺ said: Two festivals ('Id and Friday) have synchronised on this day. If anyone does not want to offer the Friday prayer, the 'Id prayer is sufficient for him. But we shall offer the Friday prayer. This tradition has been narrated by 'Umar from Shu'bah. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1073)
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «قَدِ اجْتَمَعَ فِي يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا عِيدَانِ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَجْزَأَهُ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَإِنَّا مُجَمِّعُونَ»
[Machine] The translation of the passage is: "Today, two celebrations have come together. Whoever wishes among you, Friday prayer alone will suffice for them, as we will hold the Friday gathering, God willing."
"اجتمعَ في يومِكم هذا عيدانِ، فمن شاء منكم أجْزَأَهَ الْجُمُعَة، فإنا مُجَمَّعُونَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ".
