"قَال اللهُ -تَبارَكَ وتَعَالى-: يَا عِبَادِي إنِّي حَرَّمتُ الظُّلمَ عَلَي نَفْسِي، وَجَعَلتُهُ مُحرَّمًا بَينَكُمْ، فَلَا تَظَّالمُوا، يَا عبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ ضَالٌ إلا مَنْ هَدَيتُه, فاسْتَهْدُونِي أَهْدِكُم، يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ جَائِعٌ إلا مَنْ أطعَمْتُه فَاسْتَطعِمونِي أَطعِمكمْ, يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ عَارٍ إلا مَنْ كَسَوْتُه فَاسْتَكْسونِي أَكْسِكُمْ، يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ تُخطِئُون باللَّيلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وأَنَا أَغفِرُ

الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا، فَاسْتَغْفِرُونِي أَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ، يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَبْلغُوا ضَرِّي فَتَضُرُّونِي, وَلَنْ تَبْلُغُوا نَفْعِي فَتَنْفَعُونِي، يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَن أَولَّكُمْ وآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجنَّكُمْ كانوا عَلَي أَتْقَي قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنْكُم مَا زَادَ ذَلكَ فِي مُلْكِي شَيئًا، يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَن أَوَّلَكُمْ وآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجنَّكُمْ كانُوا عَلَي أَفجَرِ قَلبِ رَجُلٍ وَاحِدٍ مِنكُمْ مَا نَقَصَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيئًا، يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أن أوَّلَكُمْ وآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجنَّكُمْ قَامُوا فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ (فَسَأَلُوني) فَأَعْطَيتُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ مَسْأَلَتَه، مَا نَقَصَ ذَلِكَ مِمَّا عِنْدي إلا كَمَا يَنْقُصُ الْمِخْيطُ إِذَا أَدْخِلَ الْبَحْرَ، يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّما هِيَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ أُحْصِيهَا لَكُمْ، ثُمَّ أُوفِيكُمْ إِيَّاهَا، فَمَنْ وَجَدَ خَيرًا فَليَحْمَدِ اللهَ، وَمَنْ وَجَدَ غَيرَ ذَلِكَ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ".

"O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and will not attain benefitting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My dominion in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My dominion in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more that a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I record for you and then recompense you for. So let him who finds good, praise Allah, and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself."  

Sa'id said that when Abu Idris Khaulini narrated this hadith he knelt upon his knees.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِيمَا رَوَى عَنِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «يَا عِبَادِي إِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ الظُّلْمَ عَلَى نَفْسِي، وَجَعَلْتُهُ بَيْنَكُمْ مُحَرَّمًا، فَلاَ تَظَالَمُوا۔ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ ضَالٌّ إِلاَّ مَنْ هَدَيْتُهُ، فَاسْتَهْدُونِي أَهْدِكُمْ۔ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ جَائِعٌ إِلاَّ مَنْ أَطْعَمْتُهُ، فَاسْتَطْعِمُونِي أُطْعِمْكُمْ۔ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ عَارٍ إِلاَّ مَنْ كَسَوْتُهُ، فَاسْتَكْسُونِي أَكْسُكُمْ۔»

قَالَ سَعِيدٌ كَانَ أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلاَنِيُّ إِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ جَثَا عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ

"Allah,Most High said: 'O My Slaves! All of you are astray except whom I guide, so ask Me for guidance and I shall guide you. All of you are poor except whom I enrich, so ask Me and I shall provide you. All of you are sinners except whom I have pardoned, so whoever among you knows that I am the One able to forgive, and seeks My forgiveness, I shall forgive him, without concern for Me (and it will not affect Me). If the first of you and the last of you, the living among you and the dead among you, the fresh among you and the dry among you were to gather together to help the heart with the most Taqwa among My slaves, that would not add a mosquito's wing to My sovereignty. If the first of you and the last of you, the living among you and the dead among you, the fresh among you and the dry among you were to gather together to help the worst heart of My slaves, that would not diminish a mosquito's wing to My sovereignty. I shall forgive him, without concern for Me (and it will not affect Me). If the first of you and the last of you, the living among you and the dead among you, the fresh among you and the dry among you were to gather together upon one plateau, and each person among them were to ask for his utmost desire, and I were to give each what he asked for, that would not diminish from My sovereignty, except as if one of you were to pass by an ocean and dip a needle into it and then remove it. That is because I am the Most Liberal without need, the Most Generous, doing as I will. I give by My speech and I punish by My speech, whenever I will something I only say: "Be" and it shall be.'" Another chain reports a similar narration.  

الترمذي:٢٤٩٥حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ عَنْ لَيْثٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

[Machine] Narrated by the Prophet ﷺ in what he narrates from his Lord ﷻ: "Indeed, I have forbidden oppression upon myself and upon My servants. So, do not oppress one another. All of the children of Adam are prone to error, day and night, but they who seek forgiveness from Me are forgiven and it is of no concern to Me. O children of Adam, all of you are astray except those whom I have guided. And all of you are naked except those whom I have clothed. And all of you are hungry except those whom I have fed. So, seek from Me and I will provide for you. O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, the jinn of you and the humans of you, the young of you and the old of you, the males of you and the females of you, and the clean of you and the impure of you—all of you were to stand upon the heart of the most righteous among you, then that would not increase My dominion over you in anything. And if the first of you and the last of you, the jinn of you and the humans of you, the young of you and the old of you, the males of you and the females of you, and the clean of you and the impure of you—all of you were to stand upon the heart of the most wicked among you, then that would not decrease My dominion over you in anything. For My dominion is like the ocean, and the needle of a sewing machine is like your dominion."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ ﷻ إِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ عَلَى نَفْسِي الظُّلْمَ وَعَلَى عِبَادِي أَلَا فَلَا تَظَالَمُوا كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ يُخْطِئُ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَسْتَغْفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرُ لَهُ وَلَا أُبَالِي وَقَالَ يَا بَنِي آدَمَ كُلُّكُمْ كَانَ ضَالًّا إِلَّا مَنْ هَدَيْتُ وَكُلُّكُمْ كَانَ عَارِيًا إِلَّا مَنْ كَسَوْتُ وَكُلُّكُمْ كَانَ جَائِعًا إِلَّا مَنْ أَطْعَمْتُوَكُلُّكُمْ كَانَ ظَمْآنًا إِلَّا مَنْ سَقَيْتُ فَاسْتَهْدُونِي أَهْدِكُمْ وَاسْتَكْسُونِي أَكْسُكُمْ وَاسْتَطْعِمُونِي أُطْعِمْكُمْ وَاسْتَسْقُونِي أَسْقِكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَصَغِيرَكُمْ وَكَبِيرَكُمْ وَذَكَرَكُمْ وَأُنْثَاكُمْ قَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَعُيِيَّكُمْ وَبَيِّنَكُمْ عَلَى قَلْبِ أَتْقَاكُمْ رَجُلًا وَاحِدًا لَمْ تَزِيدُوا فِي مُلْكِي شَيْئًا وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَصَغِيرَكُمْ وَكَبِيرَكُمْ وَذَكَرَكُمْ وَأُنْثَاكُمْ عَلَى قَلْبِ أَكْفَرِكُمْ رَجُلًا لَمْ تُنْقِصُوا مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَمَا يُنْقِصُ رَأْسُ الْمِخْيَطِ مِنَ الْبَحْرِ

O my servants, you will not attain harm to Me, so harm Me not. O my servants, you are all hungry except those whom I feed, so seek food from Me and I shall feed you. O my servants, you are all naked except those whom I clothe, so seek clothing from Me and I shall clothe you. O my servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness from Me and I shall forgive you. O my servants, if the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you, were to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not cause any loss to Me greater than that which is caused by the dipping of a needle into the sea. O my servants, it is but your deeds that I account for you, and then recompense you for. So let him who finds good praise Allāh, and let him who finds other than that blame no one except himself."  

الحاكم:٧٦٠٦أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ فِرَاسٍ الْمَكِّيُّ الْفَقِيهُ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ هو في مسلم

O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My dominion in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My dominion in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more that a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I record for you and then recompense you for. So let him who finds good, praise Allah, and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself." عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللهِ ﷻ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنِّي حَرَّمْتُ الظُّلْمَ عَلَى نَفْسِي وَجَعَلْتُهُ بَيْنَكُمْ مُحَرَّمًا فَلَا تَظَالَمُوا يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّكُمُ الَّذِينَ تُخْطِئُونَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَأَنَا الَّذِي أَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ وَلَا أُبَالِي فَاسْتَغْفِرُونِي أَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ جَائِعٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَطْعَمْتُ فَاسْتَطْعِمُونِي أُطْعِمْكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ عَارٍ إِلَّا مَنْ كَسَوْتُهُ فَاسْتَكْسُونِي أَكْسُكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ كَانُوا عَلَى أَتْقَى قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لَمْ يَزِدْ ذَلِكَ فِي مُلْكِي شَيْئًا يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ كَانُوا عَلَى أَفْجَرِ قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لَمْ يَنْقُصْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمُ اجْتَمَعُوا فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ فَسَأَلُونِي ثُمَّ أَعْطَيْتُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا سَأَلَ لَمْ يَنْقُصْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَمَا يَنْقُصُ الْبَحْرُ يُغْمَسُ فِيهِ الْمِخْيَطُ غَمْسَةً وَاحِدَةً يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ أَحْفَظُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَمَنْ وَجَدَ خَيْرًا فَلْيَحْمَدِ اللهَ وَمَنْ وَجَدَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ

"يَقُولُ اللَّه ﷻ: يَا عِبَادِى: كُلُّكُمْ ضالٌّ إِلَّا مَنْ هَدَيْتُ، فَسَلُونِى الْهُدَى أَهْدِكُمُ، وَكُلُّكُمْ فَقِيرٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَغْنَيْتُ، فَسَلُونِى أَرْزُقكُمْ، وَكُلُّكُمْ مُذْنِبٌ إِلَّا مَنْ عَافَيْتُ، فَمَنْ عَلِمَ مِنْكُمْ أَنِّى ذُو قُدْرَةٍ عَلَى المَغْفِرَةِ فَاسْتَغْفَرِنِى غَفَرْتُ لَهُ وَلَا أُبَالِى، وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَحَيَّكُمْ وَمَيِّتَكُمْ وَرَطْبَكُمْ وَيَابِسَكُمْ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى أَتْقَى قَلْبِ عَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِى مَا زَادَ ذَلِكَ فِى مُلْكِى جَنَاحَ بَعُوضَةٍ، وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَحَيَّكُمْ وَمَيِّتَكُمْ وَرَطْبَكُمْ وَيَابسَكُمْ اجْتَمَعُوا عَلَى أَشْقَى قَلْبِ عَبْدٍ مِنْ عِبَادِى مَا نَقَصَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِى جَنَاحَ بَعُوضَةٍ، وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَحَيَّكُمْ وَمَيِّتَكُمْ، وَرَطْبَكُمْ وَيَابِسَكُمْ اجْتَمَعُوا فِى صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ فَسَأَلَ كُلُّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنْكُمْ مَا بَلْغَتْ أُمْنِيَّتُّهُ، فَأَعْطَيْتُ كُلَّ سَائِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مَا نَقَصَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِى إِلَّا كَمَا لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ مَرَّ بِالبَحْرِ فَغَمَسَ فِيهِ إِبْرَةً ثُمَّ رَفَعَهَا إِلَيْهِ ذَلِكَ بِأَنِّى جَوَّادٌ وَاحِدٌ مَاجِدٌ أَفْعَلُ مَا أُرِيدُ، عَطَائِى كَلَامٌ، وَغِذائِى كَلَامٌ، إِنَّمَا أَمْرِى بِشَئٍ إِذَا أَرَدْتُهُ أَنْ يَقُولَ (*): كُنْ فَيَكُونُ".
