quran:40:21 –

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allah seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allah any protector.  

Have they not travelled in the land and beheld the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? They were more powerful than them (a variant reading has minkum, ‘than yourselves’) in strength and in ˹their˺ vestiges on earth, in the way of large structures and palaces. Yet God seized them, He destroyed them, for their sins and they had none to shield them from God, from His chastisement.
القرآن:٤٠:٢١ –

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَاقٍ  

{أوَ لم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين كانوا من قبلهم كانوا هم أشد منهم} وفي قراءة: منكم {قوة وآثارا في الأرض} من مصانع وقصور {فأخذهم الله} أهلكهم {بذنوبهم وما كان لهم من الله من واق} عذابه.

quran:30:9 –

Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.  

Have they not travelled in the land and beheld how was the consequence for those before them?, of ˹past˺ communities, which was that they were destroyed for denying their messengers. They were more powerful than them — such were ‘Ād and Thamūd — and they effected the land, they tilled it and churned it up to sow crops and cultivate ˹trees˺, and developed it more than these, the Meccan disbelievers, have developed it; and their messengers brought them clear signs, manifest proofs, for God would never wrong them, by destroying them without being guilty, but they used to wrong themselves, by denying their messengers.
القرآن:٣٠:٩ –

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا الْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ  

{أوَ لم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كانَ عاقبة الذين من قبلهم} من الأمم وهي إهلاكهم بتكذيبهم رسلهم {كانوا أشد منهم قوة} كعاد وثمود {وأثاروا الأرض} حرثوها وقلبوها للزرع والغرس {وعمَروها أكثر ممّا عمروها} أي كفار مكة {وجاءَتهم رسلهم بالبينات} بالحجج الظاهرات {فما كان الله ليظلمهم} بإهلاكهم بغير جرم {ولكن كانوا أنفسهم يظلمون} بتكذيبهم رسلهم.
quran:35:44 –

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? And they were greater than them in power. But Allah is not to be caused failure by anything in the heavens or on the earth. Indeed, He is ever Knowing and Competent.  

Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them — and they were mightier than these in power?, but ˹still˺ God destroyed them for their denial of the messengers. And God is not such that anything in the heavens or in the earth can escape Him, pre-empt Him or elude Him. Truly He is ever Knower, of all things, Omnipotent.
القرآن:٣٥:٤٤ –

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًا  

{أوْ لم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم وكانوا أشد منهم قوة} فأهلكهم الله بتكذيبهم رسلهم {وما كان الله ليعجزه من شيء} يسبقه ويفوته {في السماوات ولا في الأرض إنه كان عليما} أي بالأشياء كلها {قديرا} عليها.
quran:40:82 –

Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those before them? They were more numerous than themselves and greater in strength and in impression on the land, but they were not availed by what they used to earn.  

Have they not travelled across the land to see the nature of the consequence for those before them? They were more powerful than them in might and in ˹their˺ vestiges on earth, in the way of large structures and palaces. But what they used to earn did not avail them.
القرآن:٤٠:٨٢ –

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ قُوَّةً وَآثَارًا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَمَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ  

{أفلم يسيروا في الأرض فينظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبلهم كانوا أكثر منهم وأشد قوَّةً وأثارا في الأرض} من مصانع وقصور {فما أغنى عنهم ما كانوا يكسبون}.
