"The Messenger of Allah was wearing two Qitri garments which, if he sat and sweated, would become heavy (and uncomfortable). A Jewish man got some fabric from Ash-sham so I said: 'Why don't you send word to him to buy two garments from him, and pay him when things get easier?' So he sent word to him, but he said: 'I know what Muhammad wants; he wants to go away with my money and take them (the two garments).' The Messenger of Allah said; 'He is lying; he knows that I am one of the ones who fear Allah the most, and are most honest in fulfilling trusts.

So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He has lied, indeed he knows that I am the one with the most Taqwa among them, and the best at fulfilling trusts among them.'" [Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith of 'Aishah is Hasan Sahih Gharib Hadith. Shu'bah has also reported it from 'Umarah bin Abi Hafsah. He said: I heard Muhammad bin Firas Al-Basri saying: "I heard Abu Dawud At-Tayalisi saying: 'One day Shu'bah was asked about this Hadith, and he said: "I will not narrate it to you (people) until you stand up before Harami bin 'Umarah [bin Hafsah] to kiss his head." He said: 'And Harami was there among the people.'" [Abu 'Eisa said:] Meaning: "approving of this Hadith."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had two thick and rough cotton garments. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, your clothes are rough and harsh, and you perspire in them, causing them to become heavy on you. So-and-so has received some clothes from Sham (Syria), if you sent a message to him and took two garments in exchange for mine." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a messenger to him and he said, "I know what Muhammad wants; he wants to take my clothes and delay their return." The man came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, so the Prophet ﷺ said, "He is lying. They know that I treat them with piety and fulfill my trust."

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ had two coarse, rough patches on his body. Aisha said, "O Messenger of Allah, these two patches on your clothing are coarse and rough; they weigh heavily on you. Send a message to Fulan. He has brought a garment from Sham (the Levant), therefore buy two garments from him and send them to Maysarah (a companion of the Prophet). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a message to Maysarah, who came to him and said, "The Messenger of Allah has sent me to you to sell him two garments to be sent to Maysarah." Maysarah replied, "I know, by Allah, what the Messenger of Allah wants. He wants to take away my garment or to delay my payment for them." Maysarah returned to the Messenger of Allah and informed him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He is lying. They know that I uphold their rights for the sake of Allah and fulfill their trust."
