The Prophet ﷺ said: Do not give property to go to the survivor and do not give life-tenancy. If anyone is given something to the survivor or given life-tenancy, it goes to his heirs.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُرْقِبُوا وَلاَ تُعْمِرُوا فَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُعُمِرَهُ فَهُوَ لِوَرَثَتِهِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone gives something in life-tenancy, it belongs to the one to whom it is given, in his life and after his death; and do not give property to go to the survivor, for if anyone gives something to to to the survivor, it belongs to him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِمُعْمَرِهِ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ وَلاَ تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُهُ

"Abdul-Jabbar bin Al-'Ala' narrated to us, he said: 'Sufyan narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih, from Tawus, and perhaps it is from Ibn 'Abbas, who said: There is no Ruqba, and whoever gives a gift on the basis of Ruqba, it is part of his estate.'"

لاَ رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ

"Ruqba and 'Umra are not permissible; whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra, it is his, and whoever is given something on the basis of Ruqba, it is his."

لاَ تَحِلُّ الرُّقْبَى وَلاَ الْعُمْرَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ وَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ

"'Umra and Ruqba are not proper. Whoever gives something on the basis of 'Umra or Ruqba, it belongs to the one to whom he gave it on that basis, both during his lifetime and after his death." Hanzalah narrated it in Mursal form.

لاَ تَصْلُحُ الْعُمْرَى وَلاَ الرُّقْبَى فَمَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أَرْقَبَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لِمَنْ أُعْمِرَهُ وَأُرْقِبَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَوْتَهُ أَرْسَلَهُ حَنْظَلَةُ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Ruqba is not permissible. Whoever is given something on the basis of Ruqba, it is part of his estate.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَحِلُّ الرُّقْبَى فَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ رُقْبَى فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever gives a life-long gift, it belongs to the one to whom he gave it, both during his life and after his death. And do not give things on the basis of Ruqba, for whoever is given something on the basis of Ruqba, it becomes part of his estate."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِمُعْمَرِهِ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ وَلاَ تَرْقُبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِسَبِيلِهِ

"Do not give things on the basis of Ruqba or 'Umra. Whoever is given something on the basis of Ruqba or 'Umra, it belongs to his heirs."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ تُرْقِبُوا وَلاَ تُعْمِرُوا فَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ أَوْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِوَرَثَتِهِ

"Habib bin Abi Thabit informed us from Ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no 'Umra and no Ruqba. Whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra or Ruqba, it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after he dies.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عُمْرَى وَلاَ رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُرْقِبَهُ فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ

'Ata' informed me, from Habib bin Abi Thabit, from Ibn 'Umar -and he did not hear it from him- he said: 'Messenger of Allah said: "There is no 'Umra and no Ruqba. Whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra or Ruqba, it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after he dies."' 'Ata' said: "It belongs to the other."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ عُمْرَى وَلاَ رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُرْقِبَهُ فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ هُوَ لِلآخَرِ

"Abu Az-Zubair informed me that he heard Jabir saying: 'The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after he dies."'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ

"There is no lifelong gift. Whoever is given something as a lifelong gift, it belongs to him."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ عُمْرَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ

"Abu Salamah narrated to us, from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever is given something as a lifelong gift, it belongs to him.'"

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ

“There is no lifelong grant. Whoever is given something as a lifelong grant, it is his.' ”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ عُمْرَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ

“There is no Ruqba. Whoever is given a gift on the basis of Ruqba, it belongs to him, whether he lives or dies.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ قَالَ وَالرُّقْبَى أَنْ يَقُولَ هُوَ لِلآخَرِ مِنِّي وَمِنْكَ مَوْتًا

"Habib bin Abi Thabit informed us from Ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no 'Umra and no Ruqba. Whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra or Ruqba, it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after he dies.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3732)

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا عُمْرَى وَلَا رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُرْقِبَهُ فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ

'Ata' informed me, from Habib bin Abi Thabit, from Ibn 'Umar -and he did not hear it from him- he said: 'Messenger of Allah said: "There is no 'Umra and no Ruqba. "There is no lifelong gift. Whoever is given something as a lifelong gift, it belongs to him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3752)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا عُمْرَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ

The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no ghoul. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3913)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُ يَا بُنَيَّ

Life grant is for one upon whom it is bestowed. (Using translation from Muslim 1625f)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ وُهِبَتْ لَهُ

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Ruqba is not permissible. Whoever is given something on the basis of Ruqba, it is part of his estate.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3714)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ فَسَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِمُعْمِرِهِ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ لَا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ

The Prophet ﷺ said: There is no ghoul. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3913)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ هَدَايَا الْعُمَّالِ غُلُولٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever Allah grants sixty years of age, then he has been excused for his lifespan."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ عَمَّرَهُ اللَّهُ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً فَقَدْ أَعْذَرَ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْعُمْرِ»

“There is no lifelong grant. Whoever is given something as a lifelong grant, it is his.' ” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2379)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا تُرْقِبُوا وَلَا تُعْمِرُوا فَمَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أَرْقَبَ فَهُوَ لَهُ»

[AI] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said: "Al-Umra (a type of minor pilgrimage) is for the one who performs it, and ar-Ruqba (a type of major pilgrimage) is not for me to oversee."

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْعُمْرَى لِمَنْ أَعْمَرَهَا وَالرُّقْبَى لَمْ أَرْقَبَهَا»

"There is no lifelong gift. Whoever is given something as a lifelong gift, it belongs to him." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3752)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا عُمْرَى وَمَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ»

"Abu Az-Zubair informed me that he heard Jabir saying: 'The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever is given something on the basis of 'Umra it belongs to him for the rest of his life and after he dies."'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3735)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَبَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ»

“There is no lifelong grant. Whoever is given something as a lifelong grant, it is his.' ” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2379)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لَهُ وَلِعَقِبِهِ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبُ شَيْئًا فَسَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone surrounds a land with a wall, it belongs to him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3077)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَحَاطَ حَائِطًا فَهِيَ لَهُ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A person will be with those whom he loves."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ»

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "It is not permissible to sell a captured person or a freed slave. Therefore, whoever buys or sells a captured person or a freed slave, it belongs to him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَحِلُّ الرُّقْبَى وَلَا الْعُمْرَى فَمَنْ أُرْقِبَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ»

[AI] That the messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A person will be with those whom he loves."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ»

A group of rebels would kill you. (Using translation from Muslim 2916a)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِعَمَّارٍ «تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لِمُعْمَرِهِ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ وَلَا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُهُ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ شِبْلٍ فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ

"مَنْ أَعْمَرَ شَيئًا فَهُوَ لهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَبَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ".

"مَن أَعْمَرَ شَيئًا فَهُوَ لِمُعْمِرِهِ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ، وَلا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ".

"مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لَهُ، وَلِوَرَثَتِهِ بَعْدُ".
