nasai-kubra:4989ʿUbaydullāh b. Saʿd b. Ibrāhīm > Abū And ʿAmmī > Ibn Abū Dhiʾb > Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh

A man manumitted a slave and he had no other property than that, so the Prophet ﷺ canceled the manumission (and sold the slave for him). Nu'aim bin Al-Nahham bought the slave from him. (Using translation from Bukhārī 2415)   

الكبرى للنسائي:٤٩٨٩أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَعَمِّي قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا «أَعْتَقَ عَبْدًا لَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرَهُ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَابْتَاعَهُ نُعَيْمُ بْنُ النَّحَّامِ»
