A man came to Ibn Masʿud and said, "I recited the Mufassal (Suras) at night in one rakʿa." Ibn Masʿud said, "This recitation is (too quick) like the recitation of poetry. I know the identical Suras which the Prophet ﷺ used to recite in pairs." Ibn Masʿud then mentioned 20 Mufassal Suras including two Suras from the family of (i.e. those verses which begin with) Ha, Meem [??] (which the Prophet ﷺ used to recite) in each rakʿa. (Using translation from Bukhārī 775)

A person came to 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud and said: I recited all the mufassal surahs in one rak'ah during the night. 'Abdullah said: You must have recited hastily like the recitation of poetry. 'Abdullah said: I remember well the manner in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to combine them, and he then mentioned twenty of the mufassal surahs, and (their combinations in) two in every rak'ah.

[Machine] Does Ibn Mas'ood recite like this poetry? I have recognized the similarities that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to associate between them and mentioned twenty surahs from the beginning of the separated ones, including two surahs in one Rak'ah.
