The Prophet ﷺ forbade the drinking of water directly from the mouth of a water skin .

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ

The Prophet ﷺ forbade the drinking of water direct from the mouth of a water-skin.

نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ

Anas reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to breathe three times in the course of a drink (i. e. he drank in three gulps).

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاَثًا

The Prophet ﷺ forbade that a man should drink while standing.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade blowing or breathing into a vessel.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الإِنَاءِ أَوْ يُنْفَخَ فِيهِ

That the Prophet ﷺ would breathe three times in the vessel and say: "It is more wholesome and thirst quenching."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاَثًا وَيَقُولُ هُوَ أَمْرَأُ وَأَرْوَى

From Thumamah, from Anas that: "The Prophet ﷺ would breathe three times in the vessel." Another chain from Anas bin Malik: "The Prophet ﷺ would breathe three times in the vessel." He said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاَثًا قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited breathing in the vessel, or blowing into it."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الإِنَاءِ أَوْ يُنْفَخَ فِيهِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فَمِ السِّقَاءِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade breathing into the vessel.”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ التَّنَفُّسِ فِي الإِنَاءِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade blowing into the vessel.”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُنْفَخَ فِي الإِنَاءِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3421)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ «نَهَى أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3420)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited breathing in the vessel, or blowing into it." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1888)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الْإِنَاءِ أَوْ يُنْفَخَ فِيهِ

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ used to breathe into the vessel twice.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ مَرَّتَيْنِ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3421)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to breathe three times in his utensil, and Anas used to breathe three times.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي إِنَائِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ يَتَنَفَّسُ ثَلَاثًا

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ forbade a man from drinking while standing."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا

Abu Qatada reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Apostle ﷺ forbade breathing in a vessel. (Using translation from Muslim 267d)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا

The Prophet ﷺ forbade that a man should drink while standing. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3717)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ

[AI] The translation of the passage is: "That the messenger of Allah ﷺ used to inhale (through his nose) into a container three times and say, 'It is a means of relaxation, cleanliness, and healing.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ هُوَ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ وَأَبْرَأُ

[AI] It means: "Anas used to breathe into the (container) two or three times."

أَنَّ أَنَسًا كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade blowing or breathing into a vessel. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3728)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الْإِنَاءِ وَأَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade giving or taking anything with the left hand, and forbade breathing into the vessel when drinking."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يُعْطِيَ الرَّجُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ شَيْئًا أَوْ يَأْخُذَ بِهَا وَنَهَى أَنْ يَتَنَفَّسَ فِي إِنَائِهِ إِذَا شَرِبَ»

[AI] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man from drinking directly from the container and from breathing into the utensil."

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ وَأَنْ يَتَنَفَّسَ فِي الْإِنَاءِ»

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ؛ أَنَّه كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاَثًا

أَنه كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاثًا وَذَكَرَ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيّ ﷺ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاثًا

قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الله عيه وسلم يتنفس في الإناء ثلاثا

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ used to drink in three breaths from the container.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «كَانَ يَشْرَبُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَنْفَاسٍ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ forbade drinking from a container and breathing into it.

«نَهَى النبي ﷺ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ وَعَنْ أَنْ يُتَنَفَّسَ فِي الْإِنَاءِ»

It was narrated from ‘Ali ؓ that The Prophet ﷺ used to pray Witr with three raka’hs (Using translation from Aḥmad 685)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلَاثٍ»

[AI] "About blowing into the vessel"

عَنِ النَّفْخِ فِي الْإِنَاءِ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ used to blow into a vessel three times. It was narrated by Waki' but it did not mention what was in the vessel.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا» رَوَاهُ وَكِيعٌ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِي الْإِنَاءِ

"لَا تَنَفَّسْ في الإِنَاءِ، وَلَا تنْفُخْ فِيهِ".
