" Wa'dd hd wa'l-laili iza saja, ma wadda'ka Rabbuka wa' ma qala" [By the glorious morning light, and by the night when it is still: thy Lord has not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased].  

مسلم:١٧٩٧aحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جُنْدُبًا يَقُولُ أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ { وَالضُّحَى * وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى * مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}

[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ became anxious when Gabriel delayed. It was said to him, so he said, 'So the verse was revealed: "By the morning brightness And by the night when it covers with darkness. Your Lord has not taken leave of you, nor has He detested [you]." [Surah Ad-Duha 93:1-3]"  

أحمد:١٨٨٠٦حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبًا الْعَلَقِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ

أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَبْطَأَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَزِعَ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ {وَالضُّحَى وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى} [الضحى 2]  

ذِكْرُ تَعْيِيرِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْأَحْوَالِ

ibnhibban:6565Muḥammad b. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm a freed slave of Thaqīf > Muḥammad b. al-Ṣabbāḥ al-Jarjāʾī > Sufyān > al-Aswad b. Qays > Jundub al-Bajalī

[Machine] "I heard Jundub Al-Bajali say, 'Gabriel acted slowly with the Prophet ﷺ, so the polytheists said that he had been abandoned. So Allah revealed {Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased}'."  

ابن حبّان:٦٥٦٥أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْجَرْجَائِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبًا الْبَجَلِيَّ يَقُولُ «أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى} »

[Machine] "Jibril (Gabriel) slowed down to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." So the polytheists said, "Muhammad has been abandoned." So Allah ﷻ revealed to His Messenger ﷺ, {What has your Lord abandoned you? And what has He said? And the Hereafter is better for you than the first. And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.}"  

الطبراني:١٧١٢ثنا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

«أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ» فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ عَلَى رَسُولِهِ ﷺ {مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى وَلَلآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الْأُولَى وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَى}
