ذِكْرُ تَعْيِيرِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي الْأَحْوَالِ

ibnhibban:6565 – Muḥammad b. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm a freed slave of Thaqīf > Muḥammad b. al-Ṣabbāḥ al-Jarjāʾī > Sufyān > al-Aswad b. Qays > Jundub al-Bajalī

[Machine] "I heard Jundub Al-Bajali say, 'Gabriel acted slowly with the Prophet ﷺ, so the polytheists said that he had been abandoned. So Allah revealed {Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased}'."  

ابن حبّان:٦٥٦٥ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْجَرْجَائِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبًا الْبَجَلِيَّ يَقُولُ «أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى} »

" Wa'dd hd wa'l-laili iza saja, ma wadda'ka Rabbuka wa' ma qala" [By the glorious morning light, and by the night when it is still: thy Lord has not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased].
