It is not as Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) had asserted, for I wove the garlands for the sacrificial animals of Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands. Messenger of Allah ﷺ then garlanded them with his own hands, and then sent them with my father, and nothing was forbidden for Messenger of Allah ﷺ which had been made lawful for him by Allah until the animals were sacrificed.

I twisted the garlands of the Hadis (i.e. animals for sacrifice) of Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands. Then Messenger of Allah ﷺ put them around their necks with his own hands, and sent them with my father (to Mecca). Nothing legal was regarded illegal for Messenger of Allah ﷺ till the animals were slaughtered.

That ʿAmra bint ʿAbdur-Rahman had told him, "Zaid bin Abu Sufyan wrote to ʿAisha that ʿAbdullah bin ʿAbbas had stated, 'Whoever sends his Hadi (to the Kaʿba), all the things which are illegal for a (pilgrim) become illegal for that person till he slaughters it (i.e. till the 10th of Dhul-Hijja).' " ʿAmra added, ʿAisha said, 'It is not like what Ibn ʿAbbas had said: I twisted the garlands of the Hadis of Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands. malik:20-53

Yahya related to me from Malik, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Muhammad, that Amra bint 'Abd ar-Rahman told him that Ziyad ibn Abi Sufyan once wrote to A'isha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ saying, "'Abdullah ibn Abbas said that whatever was haram for some one doing hajj was also haram for some one who sent a sacrificial animal until the animal was sacrificed. I have sent one, so write and tell me what you say about this, or tell the man in charge of the animal what to do. Amra said that A'isha said, "It is notas Ibn Abbas has said. I once plaited the garlands for the sacrificial animal of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own two hands. Then after that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself put the garlands on the animal and then sent it with my father. And there was nothing that Allah had made halal forthe Messenger of Allah ﷺ that was haram for him until such time as the animal had been sacrificed."

[Machine] Is there any obligation? It means taking from the hair and nails. It was said that Malik narrated from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr from Amrah from Aisha, she said, "I braided the necklaces of the gift of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my own hands, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ braided them with his own hands, and then he sent them with my father and nothing was forbidden for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that Allah made lawful for him until he slaughtered the sacrifice." Al-Shafi'i, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "In this there is evidence for what I described and that a person is not prohibited by the mission with his sacrifice."
